Not raining yet. Radar shows most of it is still farther west (with the biggest blob south and west) — maybe we’ll get lucky and it’ll go around us (hold fast to dreams)
It’s still too dark to figure out the weather here….I think tomorrow is supposed to be rainy, and of course, that’s the day we picked to go to the Chihuly thing in NY. Figures.
Hi CG,
Have a great time. You are aware that it is not open in the evening (only Thursdays)?
curly and I & youngest asklet are headed up to the Berkshires tomorrow pm for the weekend. swimmer is busy with SAT prep classes every Sat/Sun.
Hi ask. Sounds like you have a fun weekend ahead of you.
We were planning to go during the day, although I think that might be subject to change (to next week?) if it’s too rainy tomorrow. (Drizzles okay, downpours not so much…) Will you be around next week if that happens?
We’re around next week. I’m actually off coming Tuesday (Eid al-Fitr – end of Ramadan), otherwise we both have regular work schedule. Let’s try to get together if you reschedule.
Morning everyone from a foggy/froggy North Carolina. The trees are just starting to turn and the nights are nice and cool.
My whole upstairs now smells like dog pee and I’m just about at my wit’s end with this dog, though I love her to pieces when she’s being good. I’ve read all the advice about housebreaking and drawn on my experience of training my two previous lab puppies, but nothing is working. She pees for no reason that I can figure out…like a male dog marking trees. All of my time is spent cleaning up pee, taking her outside to get exercise, cleaning up things she’s gotten into, breaking up snits between her and the cats, etc., so that by the end of the day I’ve accomplished nothing in the way of housekeeping. My house is the messiest it’s been since I was in the throes of depression.
Giddy had a problem with not being able to control her peeing — she sometimes even peed in her sleep. She’s takes a medication called Proin to control it and it works perfectly. You might talk to the vet about it.
A hearty west coast good morning to y’all! It’s raining like crazy here but last month was so dry we will probably absorb this batch with no problems (like my water-prone basement). No nightmares but overslept because my youngest housemate kept me up looking at hilariously stupid youtube videos (try Pacman in the library) so of course I had to show her the church sign generator and other silly things and suddenly it was 11pm (I get up at 5:30a)! When I say I feel like I’m in my 30’s it means that I feel just as sleep-deprived now as I did then.
Another late start (which I hate), but I’m feeling much better today — should be up to finally getting to the water aerobics tomorrow, then next week starting my strength training regimen. Today is erranding day, as well as more grocery shopping — the spouse picked up essentials yesterday, today is getting the semi-essentials.
Among errands today is some clothes shopping — don’t want to buy too much while I’m still getting rid of excess body baggage, but I do need a few new sweaters, and I want to try on some pants and see how close I am to the next size down. Notice my shoes are fitting better — I seem to lose weight in the places that don’t show.
All the hugs and good wishes worked, so thank you all! One cataract gone, total time two hours, including recovery time. It was much denser than they thought, stitches were ecessary, so I won’t see the full result for 10 days to two weeks, just before the second surgery.
I’ve plenty to say about assembly line surgery too, in time. For now, lets just say I’ve got an idea of how a processed chicken must feel, except that I came out alive. ( Give it a year, and all you’ll have to do is stick your head out your car window at a drive in surgery center, and walla! No more cataracts!)
In honor of my day off, the dogs let me sleep till 6:20. They are too kind for words.
Well, mine made up for yours by getting me up at 5:45.
Raining at your place?

Psst — radar
Yeah, like that’s accurate. 🙂

Well, forecast is not that well.

Good morning Andi and CG.
It’s been raining here, but the bad stuff is supposed to be here later today.
What are you fixing for breakfast this morning?
Nothing. I’m letting them fend for themselves today. 🙂
Good morning, FM.
Slacking day today?
Good morning ask.
Every day is a slacking day. 🙂
Saw the your weekend plans. Sounds like fun.
Good morning, Andi and CG.
Time to head in…
Hope you have a stress-free day.

But other than that….hello everyone!
Good morning SN.
She’ll only be a puppy for what, another year or two. Ah the memories you’ll have. 🙂
Remember; I know where you live. Don’t be surprised to get a big, barking package that smells like urine.
So you’re thinking of shipping yourself here? What some people will do to get away from a puppy. 🙂
What gave it away, the barking? If it was me it would be snarling and smelling of chocolate frosting.
Although I said I wasn’t going to do breakfast today. The nephew is up and he’s hungry.
Gotta go. See ya later.

Hmmm…sounds like you need a fence so you can send her outside to play without you for awhile.
