It’s like a summer day here today. Just got back from the barber shop. What’s everyone else up to?

Passed away from leukemia this morning — he was 65…
I am really sorry to hear this. I had no idea his was ill. I always liked him on 60 Minutes. real down to earth guy.
Ed was a great newscaster and will be missed.
Got a doctor’s appointment this afternoon and rather than bus 12 miles to work and back, I started at 7 this morning, I’ll be done by 3:30 and have a full day in before I go to the doctor at 4:20.
High tech is sooo cool.
Working from home is great, I did it for two years working with designers in three different countries. But unless your physical presence is require at least part of the time in the office or on job sites (mine wasn’t) the same technology that allows the short commute across the hall to the computer can also allow the company to outsource the job to China at approximately 1/12th the salary. I know, unfortunately.
Going to the MoveOn “debriefing” party tonight, then it’s a politics fast for as long as necessary.
and thinking of campaigns for 08. LOL
Here is a podcast I did yesterday.

Just looked at the CNN vote site and they finally put that sweet “51” in the Senate table, no more undecideds. Hallelujah!!
Just wanted to pass this along. The damned CA confederate is GONE, praise God. He says “I see no good purpose needlessly spending money” when it won’t change the outcome.
And now, just call Sen. Reid Mr. Majority Leader.
I’m biting off what shreds of fingernails are left, waiting for results from NM-1.
As sweet as this victory is (and I won $50 from my husband because of it!!), if the loathsome Heather Wilson goes back to congress, it’s going to be bitter for me.

Great, Funny Video, and Oh So True!!!!!
Wow, how funny to find a link to the barbershop thread from 2005. My comments in that thread were, I believe, the first things I ever posted here. Thanks for the memory. 🙂
PS – you asked for the address of the berbershop I used to go to in that thread and I never answered. It was on Butler St. between 6th street and Rising Sun Ave. in north Philly – my grandmother and an uncle lived a couple of blocks away on north 6th.
