Morning FamilyMan!!!! My big plans are doing some more deigns and housework. LOL I might through in a nap to keep building my strengtth back. I can not believe it is taking this long to get back to normal. I guess the older you get the longer it takes to bounce back.
Well, you are the supreme leader at slacking. I have my moments but I actually prefer to be doing something at all times. If you haven’t checked out the dairy about introducing yourself, you should. Diane101 only has 3 responses so far and I am sure she would love some more.
Yeah I saw that and I’m trying to come up with something to explain supreme slackatude. I’ll be adding mine in and I hope there are a lot more people who put in.
LOL I started mine much earleir and the website didn’t like me so I had to close my computer down and reboot. I tried to keep it short but also make it interesting. LOL
Sunny here this morning, and supposed to be in the mid-60s today. Woo-hoo! I love having a little extra outdoor time before the winter really gets here.
This part of the year we have such wide margins in the temp that you never know. I think I saw by next week, we’re supposed to go into the 20’s for lows.
Our car troubles are just getting more ridiculous by the day.
My van: the power locks motor gets stuck on for 3-4 minutes every time I start or even stop the car and take the key out of the ignition. The van is also making this hideous screeching noise which is not the same hideous screeching noise that we had fixed 2 months ago.
The old volvo: We got the blower motor replaced on Friday, along with a gasket which was the primary source of an oil leak. We pay $730 and take it home and the battery dies. We jump the car, let it run and then take it for a spin and when we turn it off and try to start it again, nothing. We make sure there is water in the battery, fully charge it with the neighbor’s charger overnight and now it is dead again – probably the alternator. The alternator which was fine until it came back from the repair shop the previous day.
Everyone. When the battery went down on our car, I tried the recharge, but keres told me if it get down below 50%, then it’s good as gone. When I took it to a parts store to get a new battery, they had a hand held machine that could tell about the batter and the alternator. It ended up the battery was just kaput and the alternator was fine.
Hi, SN. My sympathies on the Volvo (speaking as a former Volvo owner – had one during grad school). Mine had similar sounding problems as yours, and it was the rotor inside the distributor cap. The piece of metal (maybe copper) inside the rotor would fairly quickly slide back away from making good contact as it whirled around under neath the distributor cap. I got accustomed to quickly doing a temporary fix with the help of a screw driver to force the !@!# piece of copper back out so it would make contact with the wires as it rotated inside the distributor, and also carrying a spare rotor or two with me if I just couldnt get the piece to shove out as it should be.
I loved that car, but I traded it for something more reliable. I still have a spare rotor – they were cheap.
Up and stirring early today — even though I got to bed way too damn late again last night. Waiting for spouse to get moving so we can go have breakfast and do some grocery shopping for needed essentials; he’s taking the car in for some minor service (what is this about cars this week?) so we’ll be auto-less for a couple of days. Nothing major; a couple of loose connections (one to the speedometer cable, one to the radio), and we might need a couple of new tires.
Other than that, not much going on around here — hoping to get some cleaning done inbetween football watching so we can get the heaters turned on this week. Getting chilly around here, at least in the mornings and evenings…
Went for a walk in Descanso Gardens on Friday and took some photos. Haven’t done that for a while it was fun. There were lots of gorgeous roses, but not much else. Still worth the $7 admission, though.
Annoying that this looks large on preview, though I reduced it on Photo Bucket yesterday, and it looks small there. Why does that happen?
Have you checked your settings? You can set the size. Make sure it’s set to the max size allowed — which is second largest size for the free acct. Then, when you want to post your photos you can use the thumbnail code.
Hi O. This sounds interesting, but I have no idea what you are talking about! I resized the image on photo bucket and it is actually the new size but appears as the old, larger size on preview for some reason.
FM can you have George ready for Tuesday night. I just realized it’s my first birthday here at BT. So I might as well throw a little party for 4000 of my closest friends and celebrate.
I’m off to pick up chinese food and take it over to my sisters’. We’re going to watch a movie since she kind of overdid it during Thanksgiving and needs to not be on her feet. See y’all later.
Simple but interesting geometric designs are hard to do — this is a good one.
Then again, you might not want to trust me since I’ve just got back from a trip to Cincy and back and I’m feeling a very strong need to contemplate the pillows on the couch.
to the long weekend and to the cafe. We’re going to Cincy to visit with Jim’s family and to celebrate my m-i-l’s 84th birthday.
Hope everybody enjoys a relaxing day.
Ta.
Morning, Andy. Are you driving round trip today? Doesn’t Jim have to work tomorrow?
I guess you really meant “Good Bye.” Oh well. I guess it’s back to bed after a bit of a snack. There’s got to be some pie around here somewhere.
Do you people ever sleep?
You can’t be talking to me. 🙂
LOL
Uh, no. 🙂
But I wrote my comment before I noticed that you had said the same thing. Great minds.
So SN what are your big plans for the day? More poop patrol?
I guess we’ll try to get the old volvo fixed so nature boy can drive back to college. However, it being Sunday I’m not too sure we’ll succeed.
Hi and bye Andi. Hope the trip and celebration is good.
Morning Teach. Do you every sleep?
Good morning all!!!! Hope everyone has a fabulous Sunday!!!!
Morning Refinish.
Got big plans for the day?
Morning FamilyMan!!!! My big plans are doing some more deigns and housework. LOL I might through in a nap to keep building my strengtth back. I can not believe it is taking this long to get back to normal. I guess the older you get the longer it takes to bounce back.
How are you and FMom feeling today?
Yep the older you get it takes awhile to bounce back.
We’re doing better everyday. It’ll just take time.
Once I feel better I’ve got to do some serious cleaning around here, but in the meantime I’ll just slack. 🙂
Well, you are the supreme leader at slacking. I have my moments but I actually prefer to be doing something at all times. If you haven’t checked out the dairy about introducing yourself, you should. Diane101 only has 3 responses so far and I am sure she would love some more.

Usually my mind works better in the mornings then later, so I guess the Baileys from last night has me a little more foggy then usual.
Well I feel a nap coming on.
See ya’ll later.
sweet dreams!!!!
How is everyone this morning?
Sunny here this morning, and supposed to be in the mid-60s today. Woo-hoo! I love having a little extra outdoor time before the winter really gets here.
Howdy!!! I am here checking things out before doing a podcast.
Morning CG. I think we’re supposed to be up in the mid 70’s today. Time to break out the parkas.
We are supposed to be in the high 70’s and mid 80’s by Tuesday. I hate this damn global warming!!!!

Do mechanics screw everyone or just my family?

So if the auto parts store is open on Sundays it might be okay? If it’s just a batter we’re good to go.
Did you notice we both left the y off battery? 🙂
Great minds again. 🙂
At first I thought it was my alternator, but it was the battery. I think that would probably be the cheapest and easiest way to find out.
I’ll keep my fingers crossed.
I will too and good luck.

See ya Mary. I’m looking forward to Tues.
Here is a mug I designed for a gift exchange. What do you think?
I think it’s a great design Refinish.
Thanks!!!! I am just glad it is done and ordered so it can get here and then I can wrap and ship it.
I think it will be a very nice present.
FMom just called and I’ve got to run an errand.
Back in a minute.
