The UN Security Council has finally enacted sanctions on Iran.
I’m feeling lousy the past two days. This lyme disease crap is overrated…Especially during the holidays. I think I’ll take a nap and see if I have more energy later on.
What’s on your agenda?
My agenda includes hoping you’ll get better soon. Hope you have someone nearby to cook for you and help you through this – it’s horrible being sick, and its worse being sick alone.
…hope your holidays are going well.
I have a request that I’ve not earned the right to make given my rather spotted level of participation, but I’m making it anyway ‘cuz I’m a bit of a featherhead: could you check out my diary regarding a “way forward” and share some of your thoughts?
I’ve posted it in only four spots — here, EuroTrib (where I’ve made the same request for feedback), ePluribus Media and DailyKos. I didn’t want to post it everywhere, as I thought that would dilute discussion a bit, so I picked spots where I knew the discussion — if any — would be the most diverse while retaining some good depth.
Thanks for any insights, and for your patience. 🙂
Just relaxing…busy getting some documents together for interview prep. Going to see Cymbelline (a lesser-known Shakespeare comedy) tonight with the family in Jersey.
…we’ve a problem with our new dog.
He can’t figure out how to act around Mumsie, so he’s decided that he doesn’t want her to touch him; he bit her hand last night. :/
We’re gonna have to find him a new home, perhaps one where he can be a member of a dog team and have just one or two people for a family.

Poor Boo. Maybe you overdid it earlier this week — people often underestimate how taxing trivial pursuit can be . 🙂
Hope you feel better later.
…that’s rapidly becoming my favorite form of exercise, and I’m thinking about havng a workout in the next hour. 😉
Naps are very underrated. I think the Spanish have it right with their Siestas.

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert agreed Saturday during a meeting with Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas to a series of concessions to help bolster the PA chairman, including the transfer of $100 million in frozen taxes collected on behalf of the PA. The funds will be transferred directly to Abbas, and not to the Hamas-led government.
… Israel has agreed transfer the funds for humanitarian purposes. Erekat said the two sides also agreed that NIS 35 million would be transferred to hospitals in East Jerusalem.

BooMan,
I’ve not been around here much lately so I may have missed earlier references to the lyme disease mentioned in this post of yours.
In any case, I have a very good friend who contracted lyme disease and who, through a cobination of bad diagnosis and lack of urgency on the part of her doctors, is now near death.
Please treat this illness as though it’s life threatening because it is, and if your doctor isn’t stressing that you maybe should look for another doc.
And, aside from all that, I hope you, and all the rest of the pond inhabitants here, have very happy holidays.
Expanding your point:
Do take care, Booman.
thank you, I am taking powerful antibiotics that make it intolerable to be in direct sunlight for more than a minute or so. I’m also tired all the time. And some days I cannot concentrate. I apologize for the loss of quality in my writing. I’ll keep providing as much entertainment as I am capable of providing.
Sorry to hear this BooMan, I hope that you feel better soon.
One of my worst days was when I woke the boran2boy one morning only to find an engorged tick on his neck. Scared the shit out of me. He was on meds for several weeks but being a young kid, he apparently didn’t suffer too much.
My agenda: Cleaning the wax off the menorah. Continuing to console my sister.
