That’s this morning’s first order of business. Grammy is on her way with some things for him, and we have a very specific list of things we still need, so after she leaves, we’ll be off on our final mission.
I can’t believe we have less than 2 days before he leaves.
I still think my idea to SN when she went on a trip was a good one. Make up a box and mail it to him. That way you don’t have to worry about how much or what can go on a plane.
Thanks. Being able to crop out a small chunk like that and still get a decent picture is one of the really nice things about having 7.1 megapixel camera.
LOL I will be working most saturday mornings for the next few months. Today is only 4 hours and next saturday will be 5. It is fairly easy money especially at time and a half. LOL
Well, the idea of working overtime is because the company is busy. LOL I have been here for 44 minutes and only taken 4 calls which means it is really slow. LOL
We kept getting calls to switch to digital cable with so many months free to try it out, but I told them no. To expensive and then the hassel of having it switched back.
They installed one of those automatic readers about a year ago — it sends a signal to a satellite to tell them how much gas you’ve used (I’m sure it’s also an NSA plot). It stopped working. I noticed that my gas bill for the last two months was only $12 a month. The lady at the gas company laughed when I called and said I was probably the only person who’d called her that day to tell her their gas bill was too low. So they have to come reset it.
I used to not like black eyed peas, but then I saw the light. It was a nice group she had too, including some good friends that vacation in Minnesota with us. We laughed a lot. A good way to start the new year.
That’s a given since I only had one plaid skirt in my life and it was a kilt — cause it took a gimmick to get me to want to put on dresses and skirts (skorts and culottes worked too).
I’m the opposite at bowling. At first I’m pretty good and I think that maybe this time I won’t suck. Then I get worse and worse. I’ll have to give beer a try.
episode where Fred took ballet to learn to be a better bowler? I always wonder if dancing on my little tippy toes first would help me.
Part of the problem is that I need a light ball but I need bigger holes for my fingers. I should just buy myself a bowling ball. (please don’t tell anyone I just said that.)
I think that’s my problem as well. When you use a light ball they think you have kiddie size fingers, and, well, I don’t have kiddie sized anything. So I end up lofting the ball and it comes down with a thud and then rolls into the gutter. I just can’t let go at the right time.
There are two men walking down the middle of my suburban street wearing nearly identical argyle sweaters and tan dockers. We have sidewalks. They look like they belong to some sort of Richie Cunningham cult. I’m sure they’re up to no good.
One of my friends made her college student son put up all the christmas lights at Thanksgiving and now he has to take them down before he goes back to school. I told her he might start to regret coming home but she assures me that he loves her.
Lovely pic this morning, Andi.
I was feeling rather dense so I thought the picture should match.
Did you fuss with the color at all or is that natural? It looks sort of like a faded old photo my grandma would have tucked in a drawer. Very nice.
I didn’t change the color but the reason it is that color is that it was a really distant (and small) piece cropped from a much larger image.
It looks really great.
Thanks.
Got what CBtE’s taking all figured out?

But there’s no post office in the desert…
Good point. Shows how much I know about this Outbound thing. 🙂
You could hire a plane to parachute a little care package though.
Have fun shopping and packing!!!!
I agree that the picture is great!!!!
Thanks. Being able to crop out a small chunk like that and still get a decent picture is one of the really nice things about having 7.1 megapixel camera.
I stil need to get you and Olivia to set up some of your photos at imagekind so you can sell them to the public. LOL
Morning Miss Andi!!!! Here are a couple of the designs I did last night.
Boycott Gay Marriage
Explain How a Loving Couple Threatens Marriage
I am working some overtime this am and then will come home and get the new podcast done since I didn’t last night.
Nice designs. Sorry to hear you’re working (I’m in mourning over the demise of my vacation).
LOL I will be working most saturday mornings for the next few months. Today is only 4 hours and next saturday will be 5. It is fairly easy money especially at time and a half. LOL
I meant to say thanks also. LOL Check you folks later.
Morning everyone.
Moring FamilyMan!!! I am at work for overtime but so far it is really slow.
Hi Refinish.
I saw you’ll be working weekends for awhile. Good thing it’s slow.
Well, the idea of working overtime is because the company is busy. LOL I have been here for 44 minutes and only taken 4 calls which means it is really slow. LOL
They need to figure out some way you could work from home. Heck I might even consider going back to work if I could do that. 🙂
I would work a lot6 more if I could sit at home with the diva dogs. LOL
Yeah I always wished I had one of those job that I could do at home. But I’m not sure I have the will power to not take a nap during work. 🙂
Cable all fixed?
Yep I’m back to channel surfing and typing on the computer. Who said I couldn’t multi-task. 🙂
LOL so is that digital cable or just regular?
Just regular. Even when it was out we still had a couple of channels still on, but I’m not into watching preachers on TV.
You mean you don’t watch Brother Ainsly “HEEAAL” people on sunday morning? LOL
Nope. I think Sunday morning preachers are one of the reasons I started channel surfing so much.
LOL It is one of the reasons I have digital cable. I can skip the preachers and all sports programs and the mjority of the sports. LOL
We kept getting calls to switch to digital cable with so many months free to try it out, but I told them no. To expensive and then the hassel of having it switched back.
I have it so I can have some of the channels not available on regular cable. LOL I still mainly watch the cartoon channel. LOL
It’s gotten to where even my favorite channels are putting up reality shows. I’ll be glad when this phenomena ends.
that I should get off my languid ass.
See ya later.
See ya Andi.
have fun!!!!
Well I’ve got to get breakfast for FMom and then run downtown.
See ya’ll later.
I’m over here now.
How are things w/ Cat and George?
Hey. Brother and nephew just showed up. Had to be up front for a little while.
They’re both ok and Cat is letting me know when she needs out. George is on a barking freenzy with rels here.
How’re you doing today?
Canada won gold! 🙂
Good to hear you haven’t had any more probs w/ Cat.
Canada won gold. Congrats.
Than again, what would you expect. 🙂
32ºF and sunny…the clean/dig out begins in earnest…
you were pinin’ for snow FM…watch this Slide Show and you might change your mind…:{)
gonna go broom off the car and see how badly it’s buried
later
I said I wanted some snow, not a blizzard. 🙂
Enjoy your shoveling.
73 and sunny here. We ate mexican food outside the restaurant on the patio for lunch.
Anyone going to watch Ohio State in the BCS game on Monday?
My outside thermometer says it’s 77 here at the moment and no on the game.
It’s only 47 here — still very warm for January though. But it’s sunny.
I have to hang out for the Gas Company, who will only give a 4 hour window instead of a real appointment. So I’m putting away my Christmas stuff.
Sitting outside eating Mexican food sounds much better.
Hi Mary
Having problems with you gas?
They installed one of those automatic readers about a year ago — it sends a signal to a satellite to tell them how much gas you’ve used (I’m sure it’s also an NSA plot). It stopped working. I noticed that my gas bill for the last two months was only $12 a month. The lady at the gas company laughed when I called and said I was probably the only person who’d called her that day to tell her their gas bill was too low. So they have to come reset it.
How very, er, honest of you. 🙂
They’d eventually figure it out and send me a HUGE bill. So I might as well get it straighened out early.
Yep that’s what I would have thought too.
this supposedly not working unit is in the basement?
i resemble that. 🙂
Of course it’s in the basement. If it was outside I wouldn’t have to be home.
Oh that poor poor gas man. He doesn’t know what’s in store for him. 🙂
lucky, lucky …
Yep lucky, but the poor thing will never get out of there.
Sure, sure. It’s all very innocent.
So how was the Hopping John?
I used to not like black eyed peas, but then I saw the light. It was a nice group she had too, including some good friends that vacation in Minnesota with us. We laughed a lot. A good way to start the new year.
that food tastes can change — I’ll tell my mother that there’s hope that some day I won’t gag at the sight of borscht.
your mother would LOVE me.
You’re like the catholic daughter she never had.
Do you bowl, too? If so, SN is probably right.
But I’m still the bestest daughter because I pay for the merry maids.
But maryb looks better in a plaid skirt and peter pan collar.
I wore plaid skirts for 12 years of school — I never wear them any more. I don’t care how much he wants me too … oops I mean … never mind.
Do they make saddle shoes in a size 10?
That’s a given since I only had one plaid skirt in my life and it was a kilt — cause it took a gimmick to get me to want to put on dresses and skirts (skorts and culottes worked too).
but I’m not very good. Actually, I’m really bad at the beginning, then after a few beers I’m OK and then after some more beer I’m really bad again 🙂
I prefer love that’s not bought …
I’m the opposite at bowling. At first I’m pretty good and I think that maybe this time I won’t suck. Then I get worse and worse. I’ll have to give beer a try.
episode where Fred took ballet to learn to be a better bowler? I always wonder if dancing on my little tippy toes first would help me.

I have the thud problem, too
It’s the worst possible thing for me because it draws attention to me – which of course I hate. But the shoes are cool!
to be bought — especially if it’s her brisket.
My problem with bowling is that I start out being completely bored and go to the zombie state by the third frame.
There are two men walking down the middle of my suburban street wearing nearly identical argyle sweaters and tan dockers. We have sidewalks. They look like they belong to some sort of Richie Cunningham cult. I’m sure they’re up to no good.
If they have pamphlets …. run!
One of the boys is going back to school tomorrow and I’ll miss him a bunch. 🙁
So I’m getting him to do all the stuff around the house that I’m too lazy to do before he goes. 🙂
One of my friends made her college student son put up all the christmas lights at Thanksgiving and now he has to take them down before he goes back to school. I told her he might start to regret coming home but she assures me that he loves her.
And he loves the free laundry appliances. Colin says it costs 25 cents for each 5 minutes of drying!
Gotta go. I’ve got a headache starting and I want to lay down before it gets worse.
See ya’ll later hopefully.
Hope it turns out to be slight.
Put a cold wet towel over your face and hope for the best 🙁
I posted some braggy type things in boran2’s art fair. Go look! 🙂
I just came from there. I wish you had more of Owen’s work (not that I don’t like that one but I want to see more).
Me too! 🙁 The darn kid only works 75 hours a week and I can’t get him to do me a painting in his spare time.
He and Jackie are most likely coming to visit me in February to check out the area. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that they’ll move here.
that I could sacrifice if you think that would help.
Do you think the owner of the goat would mind since it’s for such a good cause?
And, btw, how are barbequed goat ribs?
is never going know (fortunately, it’s not one of those really cute small ones).
Sweetie, I’d do a lot for you but skinning animals is not on the list.
I’ll bet we could get keres to do it.
I’m going to pull a Family Man and take a nap. :-O
The gas man just showed up and he looked like he was about 16 years old. I guess only the young ones know how to fix the computerized stuff.
So now I’m going to take a nap too, or at least go read my book.
Later.
