The President has finally dropped into the twenties. According to CBS News Bush is now at 28%. And just by way of comparison:
In January 1999, for example, just after his impeachment by the House of Representatives, President Bill Clinton’s job approval rating was 65 percent. In January 1987, President Ronald Reagan’s was 52 percent. In 1967, President Lyndon Johnson received a 47 percent approval rating, even as debate about the Vietnam War raged.
Pretty sad.
He did it himself. All by himself.
And he has blood on his hands like Cheney.
Bush sucks.
Absolutely fabulous.
I feel like that some days.
IMS, RMN was at about 28% when he resigned…how long can he hold on? If he keeps dropping at this rate he’s gonna be in the teens…not that it’s undeserved, but he’s losing the hard core, lunatic fringe base now…the r’s gotta be grinding their teeth over this one.
ITMFA…may not be too far off.
John McCain: The truth.
TWO PONIES!
Well I guess it’s time to impeach him…72% percent of us don’t approve..who will get mad? Quick and simple…no long trial..impeach, impeach,
The really incredible part of that CBS poll was that 51 percent “strongly disapprove” of Bush. I think that’s the highest “strongly disapprove” rating in history.
That means that by now a MAJORITY of Americans are looking at Bush the way the lefty bloggers have been doing for years.
It’s hard to see him surviving his term.
…the White House trying to decide which month would be best to attack Iran.
that such a move would nail his coffin in the entire country. I truly believe this.
No way Americans of any stripe is going to support this.
Except, of course, those in the bewilderness of neoconservativeland and Faux News.
And among those Blue Dog Dems who deserve roasting over slow coals.
And that’s BEFORE he gives the SOTU, which I think is going to sink him even further. I mean, the whole world is worried about the troop surge and him attacking Iran, and he suddenly wants to talk about healthcare? WTF?
I heard on CNN this morning that the SOTU keeps getting longer and longer in length as the speech writers keep coming up with different issues that team Bush believe need some SOTU rebuttal. And now we are going to tax some people’s health insurance….the people who have really good insurance…….that ought to stick it to at least another 5% of the 28% of America who Bush hasn’t tortured in some way yet!
