CNN sent a reporter to the elementary school where Sen Obama spent several years. John Vause says it’s a public school, not based on any religious sect. The headmaster mentioned children of many backgrounds are enrolled. He is quite upset to have it called a madrassa (my first spelling; Madrasah is another option). By the way, Vause mentioned that the US Embassy is nearby, indicating that it’s a wealthy neighborhood. Figures.
Surprise, surprise…
No kids learning to load submachine guns between learning Arabic or hefting portraits of bin Laden.
The thing that I wanted the media to examine was when did Islamic militancy in Muslim schools actually began and where is it more popular, and would it really have included Obama in a grade school in Indonesia.
But of course, these nut cases don’t believe in investigative reporting.
“It’s easier for men to yell, because when women yell they sound strident…” Just heard that behind me on the freakin’ TV…
So allow me to sound strident here:
ARRRRRRRRRGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m thinking about the three mantees that came to the locks this morning just at daybreak, and patiently waited for the lock master to lock them through, as they moved from the west side of Florida to the East Coast.
Two cows, and a young calf, if only people had the patience and politeness of those three…
They just milled around, and watched us silly humans on land, and almost seemed to wave….it was KEEWWWWWLLLL…
wado
That’s awesome! Thanks for sharing that with us. 🙂 It made me smile.
Once upon a time :o)
I was working on the hull of a yacht from a float. This was on the east coast of S. Florida. The water in the intracoastal is pretty brown and opague on an outgoing tide, so you can’t see through it really. Anyway, I’m doing my thing and mind you I’m a water baby. Spent nearly all of my childhood and early adult years in, on and around the water, so not much surprises or startles me. Not much that is except for the Manatee that popped his/her head up out of the water right next to the float. Talk about a double take! LOL I wasn’t scared at all. Just kinda dumbfounded. And the look I got led me to believe that the Manatee knew I was dumbfounded too! No fair Manatee! LOL
Thanks for the smile Sir :o)
I’ve been losing it over Abu Gonzales testimony last week. I still can’t believe he’d be such a blatant Fascist.
(I’m NOT afraid to use the word “fascist” as many others seem to be squeemish about it’s use — like Rachel Naddow.)
Gonzales comments represents the core of the Cheney Administration. (Notice I left out the word choice “heart.”) Does it need to get any more naked to see what the agenda of CheneyCo. really is for the 99% of the American public? Totalitarianism and dictatorship. This crap about Bush’s poll ratings means nothing to these people. Shit, even Jim Baker, hitman, can’t stop CheneyCo.

Just finished this and highly recommend, its really sad… Tiger Force …We have got to get out of Iraq nothing is worth the nightmares a war brings.
I had no idea Maryscott O’Connor was in the hospital until I saw this diary entitled I visited Maryscott yesterday. Yikes–apparently she’s been in the hospital for over a week.
Anyway, I set up a new candle page for Maryscott O’Connor, and diaried it here.
Also, I just spotted another diary at MLW about a “make a wish” project for Maryscott.

Over on PoliticalWire a headline informing the world:
Romney May Get Boehner
I’m so pleased for him.
