My house has gotten pretty clean the past few weeks. When I’m bugged about something I either sleep or I get to work. Today I spackled some holes in the wall and repainted them, replaced a wacky outlet, removed old caulking from around the tub and recaulked, and still managed to grab a nap with Hopey.
Why don’t you have your own home repair show? Don’t you have to hob nob tonight?
I’m going to hob and nob tomorrow night. Tonight I’m going for Thai food with the Mr.

Look up a recipe for Tom Kha soup and make it. It seems easy and it’s sooo good. It’s my new comfort food – along with chitlins and pimento cheese of course.
I was going to say, don’t forget the Southern comfort food.
I’ll have to try out that recipe.
Come to think of it, the recipe has some really strange ingredients that you aren’t likely to have around your house.

getting my doggy dates set up. I’m going to have two litters this year. This is hopefully one of the daddies.
He lives in Atlanta FM and he’s kind of a super stud because he’s got his AKC title for conformation and now he’s competing in herding trials.
He does look good. Your going to have your hand full with all the puppies.
mommies they last about as a long as you snap your fingers. I’m hoping this litter goes more local and I get some showhomes, people who buy a puppy but agree to let me show it under bred and co-owned. That gives me the opportunity to evaluate the pups into maturity. It’s most often a damned trick attempting to evaluate pups for show potential while they are growing. Sometimes you get a pup that you know right off the bat, but most of the time they are late bloomers.
The closest I’ve ever come to a dog show is on TV. I’ve never understood how the judges pick though.
this is the toughest region to show in in the United States. Makes me whimper and want to go home to Colorado. If I can’t cut it down here this year I’m going to visit Cabingirl a couple of times and show in Pennsylvania. If you get your butt down here though and slam in the ring you go to Westminster.

ending for German Shepherds. Seems to me that they have old age endings or very sad endings and nothing in between. We still miss our Major. He was very large out of the German High Lines. I had to put him down when he was 13 because he couldn’t stand anymore. It was horrible. We fed him Reese’s peanut butter cups all that day though and were fortunate enough that we had a vet that came to your house to do what had to be done. He ate 5 lbs. of Godiva truffles though once that my husband sent to me while he was in school here to celebrate my pregnancy with Joshua. I left them sitting on the dining room table fully cellophane wrapped completely unopened and they died a horrible death. If chocolate killed dogs that dog died a thousand deaths. He had more lives than ten cats that one did.
You know what funny. When I was in the military I spent less money on taking my daughters to the base hospital than I do on George taking him to the vet now. Vets are expensive.
He’s a Bama boy, lives in Springville and if you follow this link you can see that he didn’t waste his time on AKC stuff because the world called and he represented the United States. If my husband’s girl Fallon OFA’s this month I’m hoping they have a date in the future.
He looks good too. Of course you’re going to be posting pictures of the puppies aren’t you.
Here’s a puppy snap of Heart from a month ago. I “think” this is the pup I’m going to be showing this year in conformation. Josh named her Heart. Nothing more nothing less. She hasn’t had her AKC official naming paperwork turned in yet, I’m trying to figure out what to do with Joshua’s Heart. Maybe the AKC will take the simple name Joshua’s Heart. I think I’ll just turn that in and see if it floats.
I think after George if I ever do get another dog, it will have to be one of these breds that loves to sleep. I want a dog that’s about as lazy as me.
cuz when they sleep they go all the way. But they have so much muscle when they don’t sleep they go all the way and I don’t know what the heck you would do with that. Maybe we can all chip in and get you one of those goats that fall down asleep whenever they get excited. They have this really weird narcolepsy thing that kicks in whenever they are stimulated and goats are really smart ya know.
I’ve seen those goats on TV before. All I know is George is small and a yapper and as much as I love George, I’ll never have a yapper again.

Maine lobster meat, tails and claws, in a white wine sauce, wild rice, or baked potato
Poached Atlantic salmon steaks, capers, fresh dill, Mix mesclun salad
Desert includes Viennese two berries coffee cake or Fresh fruit salad, with blueberries, pineapple, raspberries and honey dew served with peach-orange liqueur and VT maple syrup
Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, the only one-made in VT
I stopped by the B&J plant on the way over. All flavors available.

Tonight we have no calorie counters. Table is set.

How did your fishing go the other day? I remember you saying you had to get up early to go fishing.
The water was rough, but the beer was cold. So all in all it was a good day. I had fresh fish last night and again today for lunch. mmmmmmm.
I’ve never been out in the sea on a boat. Don’t know how I would handle it. Flown over the Atlantic many time though, didn’t to much like that either.

You have my sympathy — even in my geezerhood I remember my days as a recalcitrant teenager — in fact, my mother who is 85 still likes to remind me of the many obnoxious things I did.
