You have better hope you don’t follow my example too closely. I messed up my computer yesterday and stayed up all night trying to get it back normal. I’m still not there yet.
Yup, I’ve got Monday off too. Unfortunately on Tuesday, I’ll be going to Bridgeport, CT., one of the most depressing and dreary cities I’ve ever had the displeasure to visit.
We’re down to a low level of congestion and minor coughing (compared to last week). Finally healthy enough to have my mom over to visit and see CBtE’s Outward Bound pictures and hear about his travels.
How about you? I know you had something very similar to what we had earlier in January…is it gone now?
Well you have my sympathy is you’ve ever had to go there. I think the summation of the pathetic that is Bridgeport is that no one person that I deal with at the company actually lives in the city.
I had a friend who had the misfortune to live there one year. Needless to say, I avoided visiting, as I had seen Bridgeport from the I-95 and knew how ugly and depressing it was.
Yeah I remember those days of anticipation. I like my way better. 🙂
I did a system restore to a couple of days ago and it’s gotten the keyboard on the laptop working again, but not for the wireless keyboard. I guess it’s something I’ll just have to keep messing around with until I find out or stumble over how to fix it.
You might have to reload the wireless keyboard or go into the keyboard program and make sure it shows connected. Is your’s one of the new bluetooth connection keyboards? I know I had to redo the connection on the mouse a couple of times.
I tried reloading and all that you have suggested, but none of it worked. I’ll figure it out sooner or later. Plus that’s half the fun of a computer to me. Knowing there’s a way of doing something, but not knowing how.
Morning Andi, Ask, Family Man. Hi all. Well, I survived the Valentines Day Storm. Have you seen on the national news how some of our interstates in Pa are still closed? That’s not counting all the other state roads that are still impassable. That’s because of PennDot’s incredible incompetence. This year there was some sort of kerfuffle and they cancelled all subcontracting for snow removal. What you see on the news is the result. Many of our back roads are also state roads and have been largely ignored. You can’t ignore 16″ to 24″ of snow and ice and expect things to be hunky dory.
What’s yellow and sleeps 6? A PennDot truck.
Night before last there was a PennDot official on the news grumbling about how it’s the fault of people who just won’t stay off the roads. I near went through the tv screen. Blame the victim. I’d be interested to find out if that old fart is a republican.
Anyway, it’s been a real killer of a storm. I’m sore over every inch of my body.
By the way, Andi, I really like today’s photo. Color in the midst of bleak winter. Now if only you could find some of that in Bridgeport next week.
We went a day and a half w/o electricity this week so you’ve got my full empathy.
The only color is Bridgeport is the brown on the plywood boarding up the windows in the buildings downtown.
I thought picture was kind of cheery too — I like the way the leaves seem to be spiraling upward. My one disappointment is that you can’t tell that all the beech leaves are encased in ice.
Good morning Andi.
Besides work got any big plans today?
Nope — well except like you, I messed up my glasses so I’m trying to figure out when to go get them fixed. Life is just too exciting, eh?

You must be about ready for a nap then.
Yep, I see one not to far off.
I just looked at the happy hour from last night. I guess if the computer had to go on the fritz, last night was a good one for it.
Good morning and TFSMIF!
And a long weekend coming up.

Sorry to hear of that trip, though I know nothing about Bridgeport. Day trip, or more?
I’ll be there rest of the week by which time the Hartford airport will have turned into my favorite place on earth.
It is a dreary city. I’m sorry you have to spend time there. :/
Mornin, CG. How’s everyone’s various coughs and pox’s? I hope the Cabin Clan is heading back to health… or at least towards somewhere nice and warm.

Good morning ask.
Wow, it’s Friday and a long weekend too? How these things sneak up on you. 🙂
How’re ya doing today?
Morning, FM.
They may be sneaking upon slackers – the rest of us have already experienced days of anticipation.
How are you – PC fixed now?
Yeah I remember those days of anticipation. I like my way better. 🙂

Hi Refinish, just got back.

You know I’m not much help in this area – especially for keyboard issues.
Got to run, early meetings today.
Have a good day ask.
Good Morning Everyone!!!! Cold and clear here. Here is a link to an on line card someone sent me that is too cute.

That is a cute card RF.
Morning, Refinish. Cute card. I think that’s the smart one from the Punxatawney Marmot Clan… he moved to Florida a long time ago.
I thought it would bring a smile to people’s faces this am. LOL

Morning Nag!!! Sorry for all the mess up there.

This is messed up.
We’re #3! We’re #3! We’re #3!
Need more caffeine now…
Well, technically, we are # 2 since the first two are the same website. Yes I checked and now that is on my history and I’m so ashamed of myself.
ROTFLMAO!!!!!!! Well the higher you are in the rankings the better SEO for your site.
Hilarious. And it wasn’t even anna in philly that got you there… 🙂
Afternoon cafe now open!
