Is anyone going to live-blog the Oscars? I need to know who has the most gorgeous gowns. What’s on your mind?

Oh, let’s all wallow in the shallowness of the moment. I know I will. ;D I’ve paid my dues other days of the year.
My big distress tonight is how I’m going to watch the first half of “Grease: You’re the One that I Want” when it overlaps the last half hour of the Oscars in my timezone. Sigh, “Hot Danny” Austin Miller will be dancing his heart out and I want to watch.
But for the next couple of hours I’m working my way through E. Howard Hunt’s last autobiography (he wrote a couple of others, both of which I have and have read. I love how he credits himself with writing the first Presidential intelligence brief. That’s so easily proven false I can’t believe his co-author let that stinker float by. But I’m sure that’s just a preview of coming attractions….
It is snowing really fucking hard in Philadelphia right now.
Well, not to rub it in, but check out the skies overthe Kodak theater..! I love living here!
Btw – here are my Oscar predictions, FWIW. Some of them are sheer guesses – I didn’t see the foreign or short films at all!
Best Picture
BABEL
Actor in a Leading Role
Peter O´Toole|VENUS (He’s never won, and he’s gonna die soon – a sure recipe for an Oscar. But I agree that Forest Whittaker should win for his amazing portrayal of Idi Amin in “The Last King of Scotland”)

Eddie Murphy|DREAMGIRLS
Actress in a Leading Role
Helen Mirren|THE QUEEN
Actress in a Supporting Role
Jennifer Hudson|DREAMGIRLS

THE DEPARTED
Martin Scorcese has never won an Oscar. He’s due. And I’m sure that’s why the Academy is bringing together Spielberg and Lucas to present…

PAN´S LABYRINTH

APOCALYPTO

LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE
(This was an amazing script. Each character had their own clear arc. It was funny as hell, and anyone who can so successfully make fun of beauty contests deserves an Oscar in my book!)
LOVED Little Miss Sunshine.
I got to hear Greg Kinnear and separately the writer speak about the film. Yeah – a real side splitter for me. It started out slow and dark and I was thinking, why was this billed as a comedy? But then I found out. ;D
What this world needs is more movies like “Little Miss Sunshine”–REAL family values, and a kid who is fat, a little less than gorgeous, and real! If I could vote about 1000 times…
be cool to see Martin Scorsese finally win for Best Director.
as far as the clothes.. we may be treated to more than the usual partially exposed, artificially enhanced (or not) breasts due to the “plunging neck lines”.
I’m more of an ass man, so fake boobies jutting out doesn’t do much for me.. heh.
LOL I am an ass man to and the dang tux coats cover them. LOL
heh heh.. yeah, it’s hell when you can’t see the object of one’s affection…
Actor in a Leading Role
Peter O´Toole|VENUS (He’s never won, and he’s gonna die soon – a sure recipe for an Oscar. But I agree that Forest Whittaker should win for his amazing portrayal of Idi Amin in “The Last King of Scotland”)
I just saw the movie “The Last King of Scotland” last night, and although the movie may not be the greatest, I agree Forest Whittaker deserves best actor award. He did an great job.
I have the most gorgeous gown, but, wait, I probably shouldn’t have posted that here…
I hope you’re going to shave first.
Did anyone notice that the Cheney administration in in full-throttle attack on the media to again whitewash the American public that Iran is worthy of our bombing?
Notice signs for WWIII anyone????
Fuck the movies! What’s wrong with you people?????
Whilst admiring the glory that is Helen Mirren, we shall also be contemplating the evil of President Cheneybush and plotting his downfall.
In fact, Helen Mirren is key to our plan. We’re going to change the Constitution so that we have a monarchy, and Helen Mirren shall be our Queen. You missed the meetings, so you don’t know anything about the plot.
By the way, I thought Clint Eastwood’s gown was the most beautiful of all. That plunging neckline really brought out the best in his man-boobs.*
*I’m just trying to get Clint Eastwood to beat me up so I can sue him for $10 million and never have to work again.
