I can remember when I was stationed in MS and on a september afternoon it started snowing. We ran into the office and told everyone, but no one believed us. When we finally go people to believe us the whole office poured out to see it. Didn’t last long, but it was fun while it was there.
We’ve had warm + rainy = muggy for the last week, and this week, for a change, we’ve got rainy and cold. We’ll probably have to turn on the heater in Albert’s room tonight.
The infection in his jaw refuses to clear up, so it’s daily does of antibiotics and every other day flushing. It’s a wonder he has anything to do with us at all after all the poking and proding he gets. Other than that, he seems reasonably happy.
Keres you might be ahead of your time. If the bathroom window is low enough, you might have a natural bidet. Depending on how close neighbors are you could even charge admission. 🙂
Got to get used to the smaller screen and different keyboard on the new laptop — so far so good…
Spouse let me sleep in a bit — probably so he could get a break from my nagging. lol Now I can start in on the “when are you going to shower so you can check in with the union office” routine — he signed the return-to-work agreement last week, but now we’re waiting for them to let us know when he’s supposed to show up for training.
Got to get some work done today — need to clean out the refrigerator so I can get in some fresh groceries, and need to put away laundry so we can get some more done. Ah, the joys of domesticity…
Instead of taking a nap, it got pretty busy so I’m one nap short starting out the day.
It’s really quiet nice outside at the moment. I took George out wearing short and a short sleave shirt. I agree with Manny that if this fortells of how summer will be, it’s going to be hot.
We’re supposed to get up to 65 degrees today. I usually love winter, but this one hasn’t been one of my favorites so far. Then again, no matter what the weather I would probably complain about it. 🙂
Morning Andi
Nice picture and looks like things are melting. We’re down to 28 degrees right now. I think we’re supposed to go up into the mid 60’s later on.
That’s an older picture but the snow is pretty well gone. The new stuff was melted off by Sunday morning.
We’re supposed to be in the 40s and 50s all week.
It appears spring is coming your way. Yaaaa Hoooo!
I think today I’ll probably have to start on the lawn as much as I don’t want to.
There’s always the possibility of a relapse (the latest snow I can remember was 15″ one in mid-April) but they’re always brief.

all this weather talk reminded me that I ought to change my signature icon.
And the photo up top is great! Love photos w/ roads and paths that lead off into the distance.
It’s fun looking for scenery that will work as icon.
What I like about the picture is how the fog makes an uninteresting place look very interesting.
Morning Andi and FM.

Hi keres.
I haven’t seen Albert in awhile. How’s he doing?
The infection in his jaw refuses to clear up, so it’s daily does of antibiotics and every other day flushing. It’s a wonder he has anything to do with us at all after all the poking and proding he gets. Other than that, he seems reasonably happy.
I know sunny is nice but I’d expect that after a drought people don’t complain too much about rain.
Complaining about the rain is strickly verboten.
It’s supposed to dry out for a few days latter this week. I’ll try to get the bathroom window installed then.
Keres you might be ahead of your time. If the bathroom window is low enough, you might have a natural bidet. Depending on how close neighbors are you could even charge admission. 🙂
The neighbors on that side are at least a hundred yards downslope and behind some trees.
And might I add – brrrrrrr.
Off to bed, have a good Monday all.
Pleasant dreams keres.
It’s probably okay to hope for a short dry spell so long as you don’t say it aloud. 😉
Exactly!
It’s the same as never saying anything bad about your car while your in it.
Well I’m off for another nap.
Everyone have a good day in the pond.
Good morning, FM, Andi and keres!
Long, busy week ahead.
Hope you had a fun weekend doing whatever it was that the activities planner planned.
Maybe someone will post pics?
someone said she would but someone seems to reneged on her offer to surprise us.
Hmm,
Maybe it got late?
Got to go, see you all later.
Maybe she was sleepy…and still needs coffee. 🙂
Self, self, self is all that you ever think of!

Good morning again everyone.
Instead of taking a nap, it got pretty busy so I’m one nap short starting out the day.

Hope everyones Monday is starting out good.
to get up to 82 today, blech. (hi all)
Don’t say blecch — I am really looking forward to hiking in shorts (gawd-awful fish white legs and all).
we call that a moon tan around here 🙂
It’s actually quite nice outside, but the ‘blech’ is for the coming months where it’s 20-30 degrees hotter than today.
Well okay then — as long as you’re not trying to deprive me of my nice hiking weather. 🙂
Hi Andi
The way it’s going down here you could already be hiking in shorts, fish white legs and all. 🙂
that there’s nowhere there I want to hike. 😉
Hi Manny.
We’re supposed to get up to 65 degrees today. I usually love winter, but this one hasn’t been one of my favorites so far. Then again, no matter what the weather I would probably complain about it. 🙂
