Every day is Saturday for me too but I still expect some concessions for weekends. Whenever she shoves her wet nose into my neck and whines to go out before dawn I always think of you and how you talked me into getting a dog.
I found it ironic that on the same day the vice president’s No. 1 aide was found guilty of perjury thousands of evangelical Christians boarded buses and gathered downtown to support writing discrimination into the state constitution.
Where is their outrage at the blatant lies and intimidation practiced by this president and his administration against those who would question the direction they are taking this country? Where is the sadness and the outrage at the innocent blood shed and the hundreds of thousands of lives lost in Iraq because of this war? Where is the religious right when soldiers are forced to endure deplorable conditions and neglect at military hospitals? Does a chrome fish on your bumper make you feel better that human beings are being slaughtered every day in a war that was based on lies and deception?
I am a Christian, and I believe that Jesus would likely shake his head in sadness at those who would gather in the town square to affirm their hatred of gays while doing nothing to stop the bloodshed of innocents.
Which, of course, is sort of my goal as the northerner who refuses to fit in. I was very careful to include my NEW new name instead of my old and kinda new names, just so people would get the local connection.
But that’s so confusing for them — how will they know which letter to hate you for?
Well, I’ve get to get ready to go to Indy to go see my mom. (nd Jim is heading over to Cincy to see his mom and commiserate with her over broken wrist.
This is the South™ there are always letters about how we need to protect marriage. Like Nathan Lane is going to swoop in and what, steal your husband? :/
When they asked Jesus how to tell really religious people from frauds, that’s what he said. When the ultimate result of what you do “in the name of religion” is to take health insurance benefits or visitation rights from elderly couples who have supported one another for decades, that’s evil. When you embed discrimination into the constitution on the basis of a condition of birth, that’s evil.
When you write an eloquent letter and share it, that’s good! Thanks.
Coincidentally (NOT) the same issue is moving through the Indiana General Assembly for the second time as a constitutional amendment. Our local newspaper editorialized against the amendment this morning, bless ’em. I was just considering a letter to my state reps this morning on the very same subject. Nice going, SN;-)
Unfortunately, it won’t be a slackerly day. I must clean out my cubie at the old job and help Mrs. Dem with her accounting labors. I do continue to aspire to the higher goals of slackerdom, however – someday….
Good morning, Andi.
I love the sound that such a brook makes.
I love to sleep to that sound. When we go on vacation I’m always looking for places that are on rivers.
I have a fountain in my bedroom! Not that I’m inviting you to my bedroom or anything, but it does have a nice sound.
Why don’t dogs sleep in on weekends?
Seeing as I know how you feeling about sharing your bed, I’m not even asking.
Dogs don’t sleep in on weekends because everyday is Saturday for a dog.
Every day is Saturday for me too but I still expect some concessions for weekends. Whenever she shoves her wet nose into my neck and whines to go out before dawn I always think of you and how you talked me into getting a dog.
If I talked you into it, how come you didn’t tell me about it until it was done deal?
Besides your life would be emptier without toilet paper and pillow destruction pictures.
I thought you’d appreciate how very often I think of you. 🙂
Good morning, ask!
How’s the new laptop?
Morning, CG.
Only smiles here, but I have not been able to set up the router – I suspect the ethernet cable and will get a spare.
I didn’t think they’d print my LTE but they did:
and I’m sure it will enlarge your local fan club significantly.

See ya.
Have fun!
Great letter!
How is everyone this morning?
That’s great.
But soon you’ll have rabid letters in response.
This is the South™ there are always letters about how we need to protect marriage. Like Nathan Lane is going to swoop in and what, steal your husband? :/
This is the South. You never know. 😛

Well, yours was way better and didn’t sound as sarcastic as mine. It’s hard to be calm and rational when this stuff is all around me.
You are my Goddess!!!!! Thank you from all of the GLBT Community!!!!!
Thanks, RF – I love being a goddess!

Hope everyone is doing well. I will be working on designs and a new podcast today.
Good morning all! Nice waterfall, Andi.
Good morning Indianadem.
How’s your day shaping up?
Unfortunately, it won’t be a slackerly day. I must clean out my cubie at the old job and help Mrs. Dem with her accounting labors. I do continue to aspire to the higher goals of slackerdom, however – someday….
Just keep striving, you’ll get there. 🙂
