I’m only asking to be friendly, but if you really want something you’ll have to ask George, because I don’t wait on nobody. And I’m not home so I might be a very inefficient bartender!
I’m having cereal (it’s 9am), soon to be followed by a nice cup of tea.
Luna is still belly up asleep on the couch, and we’re all having a bit of a slow start to the day. Except Albert, who is scratching at piece of wood I put between his room and the bathroom to keep him from falling through the hole in the floor around the drain pipe for the tub. I’m redoing the walls in there, and have the cladding around the tub off so that I can lift the tub out when needs be.
I’m going through the fluff stuff with George now. After the last trip to the vet with him I can’t afford to have him groomed, so I’ll be breaking out the clippers and doing it myself.
Of course, I have to keep telling Geroge not to worry it will grow back out and he’ll look like a normal dog again. 🙂
I am listening to the cranes in my head, thanks to Jim.
If you ever get a chance to travel in Winter, check out Bosque del Apache in NM. Some forty to fifty thousand birds over-winter there every year, including thousands of Sandhill Cranes.
Actually we do have a national wildlife preserve with a wetlands not too far away that has thousands of cranes and other birds in the fall (and otters and eagles). So I think you’re inspiring us to plan a visit.
By all means do. And be sure to get there for the “dawn patrol.” The noise, honking and flapping, is thunderous and an experience in and of itself.
Plus OTTERS! Wow. I saw one in the wild, up in Alaska. And I’ve seen the ones at Monterey Bay Aquarium where they release them back into the ocean but then feed them everyday.
Eagles are always a treat. I saw a pair of Tasmanian Wedgetail eagles circling the other day. There are only about 200 pairs left. The Wedgetails on the mainland are doing fine, but the Tasmanian subspecies, which are larger, are having a rough time of it. We also have White-bellied Sea Eagles, which are spectacular.
What’s everyone having?

Geroge is here and ready to wait on everybody.
I hope everyone likes dog slobber on their drinks. George likes to get a little taste of what he’s serving.
George certainly looks good in Bruce Willis’ old tux.
I’ll get my tea myself, thanks.
He does look good doesn’t he. All the thanks goes to you for making him look that way.
I think getting your own tea is a good idea, unless you like dog slobber of course. 🙂
I have an ample supply, whether I like it or not, curtesy of Luna.
Albert supplies endless amounts of tiny fluffs of hair, than end up on, and in, just about everything.

Ah, the home hair cut.
Luna might be getting another bath today, after rolling in large quantities of duck poop yesterday and stinking to high heaven.
Mostly, she needs a good brushing out, and that’s a rather lenghty process.
I would hate to think of brushing Luna. George is too much for me and he’s small.
Luna’s tail is a bigger job than George. 😉
No disagreement here. 🙂

Tell Jim great picture.
Jim says thanks.

We saw sea otters at Cape Flaherty (in Washington State) but I’ve never seen a river otter in the wild.
HI folks!!!!! Been a weird few days but such is life and I am coping. Hope everyone is doing well!!!
Hi Refinish.
Hope things level out for you soon. You sound like you’re feeling pretty good. 🙂
Yeah getting there. LOL Just some stuff I have to work though and that is never easy.
It’s never easy and it takes time. You’ll make it.
I think this is all caused by the long gap between winter olympics — we are not getting a sufficient amount of cute butts in lycra.
Beats the hell out of them butch women curling.(the most boring sport on the face of the earth) LOL
Heh I like curling. 🙂
Now hockey there’s a boring sport.
Helmet on!
ROTFLMAO!!! You are asking for trouble in here with that comment.
Well I figure that the only reason to watch it is for the fights. 🙂
I wrote a review of the film “Firelight” on IMDB.
Please go take a look and rate it up if you like it:
