Hi RF. I hate to commit blasphemy here, but I’m one of the few that has never really gotten into jazz. I know I’ll be flogged for just admitting it, but what can you do. 🙂

  Ok, I was looking for capiz shells to make a funky lampshade because the fixture I bought for over the kitchen table just looks like a bare bulb hanging from the ceiling to me. No capiz shells. Must hit World Market tomorrow.
  
  Dinner with stepson as the waiter was, um, interesting. Haven’t seen him since he got out of jail 9 months ago, and he’s changed…in a good way. Either that or my BS meter wasn’t working.

    I always figure you have to give the benifit of the doubt until something gives you reason to think different. I hope the change in a good way continues. I’m with RF and I think your BS meter is working fine. 🙂

      I just looked up capriz shells and now I remember them. When I lived in CA. people would be bringing back shell lamps from the Philippines. At that time I really wanted one of those lamps.

      Well, this kid is/was a sociopath. No conscience. Charming and nice while he was grooming you and then he’d steal you blind. So he has to prove to me he’s changed before I trust him. A year in jail could have made him go either way. We’ll see.

      We’re currently listening to the Thistle & Shamrock show on public radio with Fiona Ritchie, but I wouldn’t mind a little disco every now and then for nostalgia’s sake;-)
      
      Mrs. Dem and I love Pricilla, Queen Of The Desert. I wouldn’t mind hearing those tunes again.
