   maybe i am a johnny come lately but what the hell. Has anybody seen the effing tv spot from the assholes at america forward?( I think that is the name of these scumbags.) Anyhow- what a show! images of the enemy dems and even a colosing shot of the A-Bomb going off! WOW!
    All I know is that I haven’t heard shit about this disgrace but if anyone in this country is willing to use this as an example of trying to come together-

     I’ve heard this. I’m counting on Feingold and the fact that “Junior” is going to his ranch. I’ll be away from home and it’s a really inconvenient time to have a war start.

     P.S. I was in France when Iraq started, and again when Katrina hit. We really look “dumb” on BBC!

   McCain is getting castigated on that stunt he pulled. I’ve been reading about him all day, including his move to try to get Kerry to put him on the ticket two years ago.

   I really think that he is a little mentally ill; he’s got some sort of case that says he “deserves to be president” and will do absolutely anything to get there.

   toward the Democratic candidates. Saw Edwards in front of a town meeting type thing tonight. I think I may be convinced.

   Edwards wins my “real human being” test. He’s hauling the kids on the campaign trail. He is honest about the war. (He admits he screwed up.) He says he’s lucky to be rich. My heart trusts him.

   Down the line, I may trust Obama. I’m listening hard.

   I’d love a woman president. But my heart can’t get any sense of Senator Clinton, because she’s too shrouded in money and advisors. Who knows?

   I’ve voted my heart for every election of my adult life, and lost all but once. So don’t pay any attention to me.

     Edwards is my guy too.  And he’s surging in the polls, second behind Clinton.  I think a lot of people saw his humanity (and, my god, Elizabeth’s) in that press conference. I may sound like Pollyanna but I go with my gut and Edwards has always felt right to me.

   that he is a corporate Democrat.  Regarding his campaign, which is in ruins after his terrible health care debate performance and his media appearance with Wolf Blitzer, he thinks this will redeem him:

   Obama insists a better measure of viability is how much each has raised this year. He could win that contest.

    Where is everybody? This blog seems to be withering on the vine. Lately, recommended diaries often get no comments at all. The average number of comments per diary is about 3. What’s the meta on the meta?

    “A memo for the [Armed Services] committee staff, circulated March 27, says the 2008 [Defense Authorization] bill and its accompanying explanatory report that will set defense policy should be specific about military operations and ‘avoid using colloquialisms,'” wrote Rick Maze. “The memo, written by Staff Director Erin Conaton, provides examples of acceptable phrases, such as ‘the war in Iraq,’ the ‘war in Afghanistan,’ ‘operations in the Horn of Africa’ or ‘ongoing military operations throughout the world.'”

    The phrase ‘Long War’ is also banned, Maze reports.

    Republican staff on the committee said they were not consulted.
