   Seriously though, I’d stop renting and buy a house. Sadly, here on the west coast that million dollars wouldn’t go as far as you’d think.

     Which is a good reminder for all of us to go to the store and get a bumper sticker and some merchandise.
     And, Booman, the cost of a b/w bumper sticker is shown as $1 – I thought it was supposed to be $5?

   Keeping in mind that a million dollars is only chump change now of days.  I think I could find some use for it.

   buy a piece of beach on the northern pacific coast of costa rica, build an off-grid house, and my lovely lady and I would just watch it all go by from our rocking chairs and hammocks…

   be sure and call first…

   Pay off my mortgage, pay cash for a decent piece of rental property, pay cash for a recent model Crown Vic, throw the rest into CDs and SPDR funds.

   Same thing I do with $100 – waste half of it on useless crap and various addictions, and leave the other half in my pants to get destroyed in the wash.

   Pay off my student loan and all other bills.
   Invest $200,000 for my kid.
   Donate $20,000 to my job, give a bunch of cash to charities.
   Make sure my folks were set up for old age.
   Buy a better house nearby and use mine for income.
   Buy property in europe or south america
   Once that was done, quit my job and start/join a touring band.

   I’d start a “liberal” blog, drift slowly to the right, justify said drift and then continue to function as an annex to the party machinery.  And with the rest, I’d do something less foolish, like flushing it.

    addressing family violence.  Provide counseling for all along safety and haven for those in danger.  Not much to be found to help families where I live.  I have never known such a vitally important need for every community either.
