Spouse let me sleep in today, and I’m not happy about that — we’ve got too much crap to do today. Right now I’ve just nagged him for the umpteenth time to get off the other computer and get in the shower; we’re going out to brunch, then running errands. My new MacBook has Bluetooth so I’m thinking of getting a scroll mouse, to make some of my daily tasks a bit easier.
Sharks eliminated the Predators last night in hockey — now we’re waiting to see who they’ll be playing and when the first game is. Gives the team a chance to heal assorted owwies, and work on some weak points.
Hi FM, I’m also watching the Blue Angel thing. I’ve only been to one air show in my life but got to see them in action. The show was great until the bombing displays were unleashed… You can imagine my horror.
How’s your weekend going so far? It’s sunny and 62 outside, I’m blogging from the porch.
Being retired AF I got to see a lot of air shows. I almost went to the one in Ramstein, GE that was such a disaster. Luckily I went to Amsterdam that weekend.
The weekend is going slow so far. I cleaned all week and even tried to get the lawn mowed, and now it looks like none of the family is showing up. At least the house is clean.
I’ve got to start patio blogging. It’s almost 80 outside and sunny. Soon it will be too hot to be outside blogging.
But it’s a dry heat… is our unofficial slogan for a reason. Of course, anything above 110, it doesn’t matter which type of heat it is – you’re staying inside
Yeah I’ve always heard about the dry heat, but I’ve never been in it. I agree about the 110 and I would shudder to think of being in something like that.
When I first came back from Germany I lived in San Antonio. I got thrown into a summer that had 104 temps and in SA it’s humid too. I had a car with no AC. Driving home was like having a giant hair blower on me the whole time. The odd thing is, that winter was so cold, pipes in the house froze. That was back in 89, so I don’t know how global warming is effecting the place now.
The desert is a kooky place. Extreme temperatures during both summer and winter with not much of a recognizable difference between fall and spring. Haven’t been to SA yet, but have heard that it’s a place with alot of local character.
Gonna go out and run some errands, see ya around later perhaps. paz
Life has gotten strange and I am trying to deal with it. It is the depression problem again and I am working hard to get it under control but….. Lots more details involved that I do not want to go into here. I am sure you can understand that. LOL
HI folks. I haven’t been around much and it is a long and boring story, I will check back later, I hope everyone is doing well.
Hello Refinish.
It seems a lot of us haven’t been around lately. Glad to see you today and hope your weekend is good.
Perish the thought…

I think everyone has relaxed so much that they’re asleep.
Hey that’s my gig and ya’ll quit copying it! 🙂
Anybody around?

Hi Manny

Amsterdam, sounds fun. Reeeelly fun 🙂
I hear ya on the heat, that’s why I’m enjoying this today. By next weekend we’re supposed to be in the mid-90s. yuck.
I can’t decide if I should hope for you that the family ends up showing – especially after prepping the house and lawn.
Amsterdam was Reeeeelly fun. I certainly saw stuff I never would have imagined. 🙂
You’ll be in the mid-90’s but what about the humidity. I’m not sure about that in your area.
Hey I’m happy with just a clean and quiet house.
I was thinking the closest thing I’ve ever seen to Amsterdam in the U.S. is New Orleans before Kitrina. However, NO was tame compared to Amsterdam.

I’m trying to think and I don’t think I’ve ever been in a desert. That would seem like something everyone should do.
Enjoy the errands. Well at least get them done. 🙂
Paz.
I’m watching news and it says one of the Blue Angles has gone done in a place call Beaufort. They’re saying homes are on fire.
OMG how scary. I have been to air shows and seen the blue angels several rimes.
Hi RF. Yep I’ve seen them several times myself.
How are you doing this weekend? I’ve been wondering what’s going on with you.
Life has gotten strange and I am trying to deal with it. It is the depression problem again and I am working hard to get it under control but….. Lots more details involved that I do not want to go into here. I am sure you can understand that. LOL
Of couse I understand RF. I hope you get to feeling better soon.
If you don’t feel like hanging around for the cafe, I’ll be around and keep an eye out.
Take care RF.
I will be in and out and of course will set up the evening one in a little while.
OK, well I’ll look forward to this afternoon.
