A beautiful, relaxing weekend that was way too short.
Forecast is low 80s, we could see a great difference in the greenery between leaving on Friday and returning yesterday.
We’re supposed to hit the 80s today too. And the change in the trees is incredible! If the weather stays this warm, I’ll be looking for those leaves to come out and give us some shade.
I did the leaf raking yesterday, it’s lawn mowing this afternoon. And then mulching and deciding what to plant (the fun part).
Sorry, CG, that you’re having to start off the week with crappy housekeeping chores.

It was a really nice weekend. Even got to barbecue yesterday!

just a couple of books and a great tricycle, one that costs about $150 new for $12…I was pushing it to the front of the store to pay for it (for my ungrateful step-daughter’s 2 year old) when this darling little Hispanic boy and his parents just stared at it going by and I could tell they really wanted it. I asked if they wanted to buy it instead of me and they talked in spanish among themselves and I could tell money was a concern so I gave them the bike and ten bucks and they were so happy! Made my day.
Aw, what a happy story. 🙂

Yeah, the next one is here, also a boy. Haven’t seen him and probably won’t. She won’t talk to us since we called the police on her boyfriend.
I got a book called Boobs (a Bunch of Outrageous Breast cancer Survivors) for a woman I work with who was diagnosed with a fast-growing breast cancer in Feb…and The Kite Runner which I hadn’t read yet.
I was just getting back into the work grind and tromping through the email that had piled up.
