Berkley-Federal agents searched the home of Daily Kos owner and founder Markos Moulitsas Zuniga, removing computers and numerous boxes of documents. Today’s action is the fruition of months of preparation by several cooperating federal agencies, each proceeding with investigations regarding global warming. The search was long expected as Mr.Moulitsas has long been under suspicion as an agent provocateur, inciting a variety of entities to discharge greenhouse gases in large quantities. The allegations include a complex scheme involving the Daily Kos blog.
It is expected that the wide-ranging probe will yield a number of indictments. In addition to Mr.Moulitsas, amongst those said to be involved are such diverse individuals as Las Vegas showman Wayne Newton, lifestyle guru Martha Stewart and American Idol Kelly Clarkson.
FBI spokesperson Blake Byrne indicated that Mr.Moulitsas is only the “tip of the iceberg”. However, he refused further comment as this was still a pending investigation.
