The latest rumor making the rounds on the intertubes is that Markos and I work for the CIA. If so, they pay like crap and they never buy anything from the store. Who are you secretly working for? And are you behind all this silliness in the UK?

Well, Markos had applied to work for the CIA so that’s not hard to believe. But I’d be shocked as hell if you were a spook! Casper the friendly ghost, maybe. 😀
No more shocked than I would be Dimitri.
and are appalled that you allow him to write here as a front pager.
Johnson allegedly approves of sleep deprivation; they call it torture.
Idiots.
Who has been more critical of the way the CIA has been used and abused by Bush than Larry Johnson?
Allegedly, Larry Johnson approves of the use of sleep deprivation in interrogations.
Those who object to Johnson say that this is a form of torture and suggest that he (and by extension, you) are being disingenuous.
Let me make myself clear. I am on the fence about this whole thing.
I’ve read a couple of essays on other blogs that believe (1) an ex-CIA guy is still a guy whose ‘company’ is responsible for various and nefarious deeds since the start of the Cold War and that (2) sleep deprivation is a form of torture, and they outline reasons why.
Just saying ‘idiots’ is not enough. At least, for me.
I’m assuming that at some point in the millions of words Larry has written, in the middle of excoriating the administration for using the CIA to torture people, that Larry said something about sleep deprivation being okay.
Maybe he did. Maybe sleep deprivation is outlawed by treaty and convention. Maybe it is officially considered torture. Maybe Larry is wrong.
But it is foolish to suggest that he isn’t profoundly against torturing people and against using the CIA to do it.
As for whether he ever ‘really’ left the agency?
I don’t think Porter Goss would have had much use for him.
or Kos politics for that matter.
I’ve been searching for the perfect circle.
Some pretty artistic aliens there ID.
Sadly, there have been none around here for several years. The UK gets ’em all.
It appears all the alien artist fled to the UK.
Those are beautiful designs! I’d glad that somebody is so carefully making and photographing them.
I wonder, though, if they affect crop growth in future years? Are there echoes of patterns? Even without heavy machinery, might the earth be tamped down? (I’m thinking of overlapping images on cave walls, and what might be revealed in shifting light.)
It’s been suggested by some here that I’m with AIPAC and/or the dkos anti-I/P police.
that’s because some people just aren’t all that bright.
Why do these “terrorists” remind me of Mr Bean
Yeah I saw that. Lots of innuendo and hyperbole and precious little sense.
for the CIA. I would have no idea how to second guess that. I’m sure some people on the internet do. I can’t believe that the CIA, which reportedly has manipulated the MSM, would fail to insert itself into the internet. But who, exactly? I guess that’s like being at a costume ball and trying to figure out who is who.
I need a job. Do you think the CIA would hire a broken down old lawyer with no language skills? Maybe you could give me a recommendation, Boo.
😉
Dear CIA-
Hire Steven D. He needs a job and wants to learn foreign languages.
Best,
