U.S. Senators Chuck Hagel (R-NE) and Carl Levin (D-MI) introduced today a bipartisan amendment to the FY2008 Department of Defense Authorization bill that would establish standards for the deployment of troops serving in Iraq. The amendment is cosponsored by Senators Snowe (R-ME), Webb (D-VA) and Reid (D-NV). This amendment compliments a separate amendment to the FY08 Defense Authorization bill offered by Senators Hagel and Jim Webb (D-VA) that establishes standards for time between military deployments.

Lindsey remains an asshole.
It only got 52 votes.
