My new theory is that John McCain owed his popularity almost completely to Don Imus. And with Imus relegated to the David Duke Hall of Broadcasting Shame, John McCain has no base. I think Bob Dole might agree.
“My heart has always been with my good friend John McCain. But it’s just not happening, the buzz is gone.”
— Former Sen. Bob Dole, in an interview with Bloomberg TV.
.
(Political Wire) – A new American Research Group survey in Arizona finds Sen. Hillary Clinton continues to lead the Democratic presidential race with 39%, followed by Sen. Barack Obama at 25% , Bill Richardson at 9% and John Edwards at 8%.
In the Republican race, Sen. John McCain leads Rudy Giuliani 32% to 23% in his home state, with 15% for Fred Thompson. However, McCain was at 45% in the February poll.
"But I will not let myself be reduced to silence."
I do miss Imus. Call him a right winger by he did in fact talk about the mercury-autism link and everyone knows you can’t have the zombinals even entertaining the notion that our big pharma companies are anything but God.
Imus got sold out, sold out to the promotion of the left’s most Satanic of concepts, “diversity”. Yes, label me a bigot/racist/GLBT-a-phobe but I believe people are equal, I enjoy a diverse work group but the anal-iz-ation the left goes to with this PC crap is just that, crap. What better way to promote bigger and more intrusive government than to have it “moderate” the conflicts between people who don’t like each other. And what better way to bring down the middle class than reverse discrimination.
It’s a balance. While I’m certainly no fan of Mr. Bomb, bomb Iran, diversity pushes my buttons just about as hard.
