Thanks for coming to our first (and likely last) edition of this post, with many apologies to the revered Man Eegee.
Since this is not the Wednesday Welcome Wagon, I have no idea as to the identity of the latest inhabitant of the pond. (Of course, I welcome him/her and offer good wishes.) Nor do I have fancy pants graphics, froggie pics or any of the regular paraphernalia.
However, I can offer a question, in compliance with regular custom.
What is your favorite headwear?
(Allright, I’m no Man Eegee.)
Please note that this is in no way associated with The Wednesday Welcome Wagon and the proprietors thereof do not endorse any of the views stated herein. Upon posting of the actual Wednesday Welcome Wagon, this post will be deleted as a public service.
Update: I forgot this part. Newbies and lurkers reveal yourselves! We would love to meet you!
I welcome our lastest unnamed pond dweller. As to headgear, it has to be a cowboy hat.
Erm, that would be welcome to cordelia, user #5137.
Favorite headwear? That would be my turquoise blue leopard print sparkly Josie and the Pussycats ears. And it’s almost time to wear them again.
Thanks, CG.
That sounds like some very cool headgear. Did I say that photos are required?
OOPS! I knew I was forgetting to do something today.
Howzabout I park this ole thing right here?
There we go.
Thanks b2!
Favorite headwear?
Welcome to the dark side!
So now we have Darth Manny? OMG what has the world come to? ๐
Darth Manny. < snort >
Ahahahahaha. You can’t even begin to pull off scary.
maybe the mask is meant to be secksy ๐
You missed sexy by a mile or so. ๐
You look like a teddy bear in a scary mask when 99% of his teddy bearness is still showing.
Hope I didn’t step on any toes.
Nevah! I appreciate the help, was running out of things to ask. At least, topics that keep this place a family-friendly establishment [evil grin]
Hi Boran.
Your public service is well noted, and thanks for putting up the welco…..er, Not The Wednesday Welcome Wagon.
Cowboy hats are becoming pretty common now of days. I prefer the Genghis Khan look myself.
And welcome to the new member, whoever you are.
Hay, FM. CG has the identity above.
I just saw. Thanks Boran.
Welcome to the pond cordelia. When you get a chance jump into the Welcome Wagon or the Cafe, and sit and talk a spell.
let’s see: baseball, berets, fedoras, flat caps, greek leather hat, highland wool knock-about, nightcap, panama, straw ‘farmers’ hat, tams, toqoes…nope…no cowboy hats here.
they’ve kinda have a bad rep at casa d the past 7 years…meh.
lTMF’sA
I probably would have said my Cape May baseball cap had I given it a little more thought.
Headgear? My tiara, of course.
Hereafter, you will be Princess Kahli.
We have Darth Manny up thread and Princess Kahli here. Sounds like the making of a good movie.
It is good to be princess! Thank you.
Panama Hat — keeps the sun out of my eyes.
Having been raised in a very hot clime, where it was common to see old men wearing “The Full Cleveland” anytime of the year, I had no idea about the no white after Labor Day rule until I attended college in a snowy state. I am fortunate that neither Kathleen Turner nor John Waters attended my school or I may have met an unfortunate fate.
That sounds like a wise choice of headgear.
I don’t look good in any headgear. . .I look even worse after wearing headgear and I take it off. Talk about an ugly hair day!!!
My fav. . .hmmmm my Forest Service green fedora purchased at Yellowstone a few years ago, it looks really cool on that hook on the wall.
Hi everyone. Welcome newbies and lurkers!
Hugs
Shirl
Hi Shirl. Who knew that the Forest Service had fedoras?!!
I pretty much don’t know that the Forest Service wears Fedoras, but they do have a Forest Service Green color that seems individual to their uniform colors.
I think they mostly wear Smokey The Bear style hats.
On the other hand. . .well. . .I don’t wear hats and I don’t think you are supposed to wear them on your other hand.
Hah! – and you call yourselves Americans. Where are the baseball caps?
So busy lurking, I’m once again late to the party. Hi Boran, nice job. BTW do any Newbies ever show up at the wagon?
Hi Alice. We’re hoping to entice some newbies in here with all the free beer. No takers yet.
Eureka! It just came to me.
My fave headgear – gotta be the tinfoil.
Sorry, no photo – use your imagination.
One of many styles available
Consider yourself informed. LOL
Thanks Shirl. Twouldn’t be a party without these fun chapeaux.
Guess our future is so bright we’ll always need those shades.
