Offered without commentary:
Many conservative Christian leaders say they can count on the specter of a second Clinton presidency to fire up their constituents. But the prospect of an Obama-Giuliani race is another matter. “You would have a bunch of people who traditionally vote Republican going over to Obama,” said the Rev. Donald Wildmon, founder of the Christian conservative American Family Association of Tupelo, Miss., known for its consumer boycotts over obscenity or gay issues.
In the Wichita churches this summer, Obama was the Democrat who drew the most interest. Several mentioned that he had spoken at Warren’s Saddleback church and said they were intrigued. But just as many people ruled out Obama because they suspected that he was not Christian at all but in fact a crypto-Muslim — a rumor that spread around the Internet earlier this year. “There is just that ill feeling, and part of it is his faith,” Welsh said. “Is his faith anti-Christian? Is he a Muslim? And what about the school where he was raised?”
“Obama sounds too much like Osama,” said Kayla Nickel of Westlink. “When he says his name, I am like, ‘I am not voting for a Muslim!’ ”
Ah hate to brang this up, Honey, but, “Giuliani” kind of sounds like “Jew-liani.”
Being from mAssachusetts we have had a most similar situation with our most recent election of Deval Patrick. Deval was touted here as a grassroots candidate, one who would embrace change and do good things. Sorry to say it but from the insurance industry paying for his extravagant innaugural ball it has been mostly downhill since then.
Obama, and Deval are identical entities. Again the lower lifeforms have been intentionally feed totally wrong information.
And Ghouliani, Mr. I’m going to pave roads with the remains of 911 dead people? Why he still is able to even walk the streets unpickforked by the commoners is beyond me.
before we make a decision of this magnitude I thing we should all take a deep greath — then check our favorite media source and follow their directions.
Are we suppose to believe this?
Obama came in 3rd in Iowa of Republicans. If the Republicans are going to cross the aisle to vote for a Democrat, it would be Barack Obama, wayyyy before Clinton. I live in IL-10 a swing district, Kirk, Clinton won this district his time in and then it went to Bush. These Republicans and Indies are very moderate leaning, which you would think they would like Clinton, but they do not. Again, I hear this all the time. Which make me suspect of this Mark Penn and his polling that Clinton will get 25% of the Republican Women vote. Down south no, but you would think in a moderate swinging distict that I live in, no problem, but many do have a problem with her. So, go figure.
Racism still rules in America and whether it is Blacks or the new scapegoat, Hispanics, especially new immigrants, legal or otherwise, who are plotting to change our culture, the 50/50 split and dirty tricks will be with us again in the 2008 presidential election.
The people who say they wouldn’t vote for Sen. Obama because they think he’s really a Muslim weren’t going to vote for him anyway.
His “faith” is simply a front; a convenient fig leaf for people who don’t want to say they ain’t voting for anyone African-American.
Or those who won’t vote for anyone not in some flavor of evangelical Christian sect, preferably a theocratic one.
Obama doesn’t make a thing out of getting his orders direct from God(tm)(R)(c), so he’s not acceptable to some varieties of Christians who’d have no problem voting for a Black man.
But then most of those folks, for whichever reason, wouldn’t vote for a D anyway, so no loss….
