“Ride For Freedom”
Coast to Coast by Horseback for Akha Human Rights

Matthew McDaniel and members of the Akha Heritage Foundation will be campaigning for Akha Human Rights and Akha Project advancement with a US National Human Rights Tour.

But there is something different about this tour.

Matthew McDaniel will be riding by horseback from Lincoln City, Oregon where he will begin a coast-to-coast non-stop horseback ride for the Akha people. The trip will end at the UN in New York.

The trip will take up to seven months or more. He will be sleeping outside adjacent to the horse or horses each night.

“Ride for Freedom” is a commitment to the Akha people to protect their lands, to send a message to the Thai
Government that the Queen of Thailand needs to give back the land of the Akha people, to raise public awareness, to raise funds for the human rights network in SE Asia, to prevent malaria in Laos, to bring and end to the removal of Akha children from their villages and families by missionaries, to protect the culture of the Akha people from those who would destroy both it and Akha identity and to protect and record Akha literature, to name a few.

You can be part of this project. You can donate to cover expenses and you can also pledge to donate for the distance we travel, a trip in excess of three thousand miles.

A departure date has not been set yet, but the requirements of this trip are being assembled.

We need capable donors with guts for this trip.

We will also be screening commercial sponsors, one sponsor in each category of product or service.

All donations are tax deductible.

Thank you for your commitment to Akha Human Rights.
Thank you for your decision to donate to the “Ride for
Freedom”.
