So here we have a front-paged piece on pff! asking the magic question Is Condi a racist because she is promoting a Palestinian State?
Please.
This is not about “race”.
It’s about money.
IT’S ALL ABOUT THE OIL.
She’s not a racist.
She’s not even black.
Not anymore she’s not.
She’s just a businesswoman.
And this is just business as usual.
Bet on it.
Read on for more.
There are powerful factions of the U.S. PermaGov that are willing and ready to sell Israel right down the river in order to maintain some sort of hegemony in the Middle East and thus preserve favorable trade relations with the Islamic countries that control much of the oil that fuels this society.
Anyone who actually believes that the major reason for U.S. support of Israel is and was meant as some kind of humanitarian endeavour aimed at saving and protecting the remainder of world Jewry after Hitler’s attempted genocide?
While two of the last four Presidents of the United States were close blood relatives of Prescott Bush, Adolf Hitler’s fucking BANKER in America?
I’ve got a bridge to sell you, right here in New Yawk City.
Oil, folks.
It is ALL about the oil.
They have tried EVERYTHING since W.W. II to maintain an advantage in the Middle East.
Covert actions.
Puppet rulers.
Israel used as a wedge.
Every possible game that they could run.
The works.
Including flat-out war.
Nothing has worked. Not long-term it hasn’t.
But they WILL keep trying.
They can’t use their nukes. That would ruin the oil delivery system.
It is quite obvious that they cannot win a real, ongoing war. Shock and awe? The Omertican version of blitzkrieg? Sure. That works. For a while. But then what?
Quagmire.
A depleted, defeated-feeling homeland.
They can’t run that game much further.
Now…you tell me.
What ELSE can they offer the Muslims?
Oh.
I know.
Israel.
Watch.
Oh yes.
Israel.
Watch.
And what is it that Israel can DO about this? Besides maybe refusing to sell the U.S. their blood orange crop?
They cannot do shit about it except hustle.
And or start a real shooting war as a last, desperate attempt to involve the U.S. in their defense before they have been totally sold down the river.
Folks…let’s get real here.
There are only about 5 million Jews in all of Israel.
Do you think that some cold-hearted Aryan supremacist bastard like Dick Cheney would balk at selling 5 million people out for another possible couple of decades of continuing profits and sufficient time to move this country to another power basis? Especially if they were Jews?
Please.
Get real.
Of course the people in the U.S. who are most interested in maintaining a Jewish state…many of whom are just soft-hearted dupes of the PermaGov, but many more of whom are true masters of realpollitk whose aim IS to maintain a safe haven for Jews in an (on the overwhelming historical evidence) hostile world…continue running the AIPAC/NeoCon game that has served them so well over the last few decades, but in New York we have this saying.
Maybe you’ve heard it before?
Money talks; nobody walks.
Yup.
If the big money…the REAL money here in the U.S., the oil money, the Fortune 500 money, the power money (Overwhelmingly non-Jewish, Protestant-owned wealth, by the way. The same folks from whom ol’ Prescott Bush and his rotten progeny have sprung, bet on it.)…if THAT money, the real, court-of-last-resort power money decides that it is its their best interests to flush Israel right down the toilet, it WILL do so.
Bet on it.
And their hype artists will do it…artfully. As is their job.
Slowly, preparing each step in their latest attempt at creating a new reality well before the action really goes down.
Now…once again, THINK, goddammit. Which member of the current administration had a fucking supertanker named after her?
I’ll give you a hint.
It ain’t Laura Bush.
Yup.
For Faithful and Loyal Service:
Chevron named an oil tanker the “Condoleezza Rice”
Below is a picture of the oil tanker before Chevron quietly renamed it the “Altair Voyager” and before President George Bush appointed Ms. Rice as National Security Advisor.
Do you get the picture?
* * * * *
National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice was a Chevron Director from 1991 until January 15, 2001 when she was transferred by President George Bush Jr. to National Security Adviser. Previously she was Senior Director, Soviet Affairs, National Security Council, and Special Assistant to President George Bush Sr. from 1989 to 1991.
Another Chevron Corporation giant in the Bush administration is Vice President Dick Cheney. Vice President Cheney was Chairman and Chief Executive of Dallas based Halliburton Corporation, the world’s largest oil field services company with multi-billion dollar contracts with oil corporations including Chevron. Lawrence Eagleburger, a seasoned Bush counselor who held top State Department posts under George Bush Sr., is a director of Halliburton Corporation.
Halliburton’s global network of investments includes projects in politically volatile areas including the Caspian Sea region. Dick Cheney was instrumental in negotiating a Caspian Sea pipeline for Chevron. The crude oil pipeline is a 900-mile project stretching from western Kazakhstan to the Black Sea that will primarily benefit Chevron by connecting the Tengiz oil field to the Black Sea port of Novorossiysk in Russia. Chevron, the largest oil company member of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium, holds a 55 percent ownership interest with the Republic of Kazakhstan in Tengizchevroil. The 40-year, $20 billion joint-venture company was formed in 1993 to develop the Tengiz field. Tengiz is one of the world’s largest oil fields with 6 to 9 billion barrels of recoverable oil.
Also, there are allegations that the Bush Administration declared war in Afghanistan, not necessarily to combat terrorism, but to make it possible for U.S. oil interests to construct gas and oil pipelines from the Caspian Sea through Afghanistan to Pakistani harbors on the Indian Ocean. The first phase, now accomplish, was to install a friendly “puppet” regime in Kabul. La Voz de Aztlan has a report on this subject at:
C’mon…
She follows orders, too.
Remember:
Money talks; nobody walks.
Bet on it.
And wake the fuck up.
It’s all about the oil.
“Lord what fools these mortals be” said ol’ Will Shakespeare.
Yup.
Just as it’s always been.
Condi?
A racist?
Naaaaahhhhhh…
Nuthin’ personal.
It’s just business.
She’d do it to black people too.
Bada BING!!!
SO sorry, bro’.
It wuz me or you.
Bet on it.
AG
Feel free.
I do.
Bet on it.
AG
Oh…I know why Condi said it. But it does show Bushco is getting a little miffed at Israel.
No.
Anger has nothing to do with it.
It’s just business.
Nothing angry.
They will kill you as cold-heartedly as Kissinger ordering the carpet bombing of Cambodia. And then go enjoy a dinner of sweetbreads cooked in wine.
Bet on it.
AG
If memory does not fail me, I recall when Bush remarked on Sharon’s invasion of Jenin that it should not proceed. Then in front of the camera after the invasion went ahead, he said something to the effect: I said stop and I mean it, angrily.
Sharon paid no attention. At that point I imagined Cheney counseling Bush on who was wagging the tail. Not a word mentioned about the incident afterward. A few years later, Sharon was at the White House to receive big chunks of the West Bank, which King George honored Israel with. Bush said that Sharon didn’t have to give that West Bank land back ever.
It was the most obedient act on the part of any president of the US I have ever seen or have knowledge of.
AG needs to take that to the bank.
Anger?
That’s for the talking heads.
If Cheney REALLY schooled Bush on who was wagging the tail, he would say that the people for whom he…the Vice-Prez-In-Charge…worked were wagging ALL tails.
In whatever directions they wished.
And I will not take that to the bank. Because they wag the banks, too.
I don’t believe that Bush has a clue. They wind him up and he does his little act.
End of story.
And anger from people like Cheney?
It is expressed in ALL ways.
Snarls AND rocket attacks.
Words AND invasions.
And it is only caused by one thing.
Potential loss.
Bet on it.
It is ALL about the oil.
AG
A regular Charlie McCarthy. I have taken to often representing this presidency as the Cheney-Bush presidency.
the BIGGEST AIPAC donor, google his name and russian oil:

Life in this region just seems to be a bit more complicated than that. Oil no doubt motivates much of America’s involvement in the Middle East. But when you stand back and say, have we or Israel made any progress, you have to conclude that we went backwards while Israel went forwards.
Israel went forwards? With what?
They now have confiscated at least 46% of the West Bank in their quest to recreate Kind David’s short lived Empire, an Israel from the Jordan River to the sea. How’s that for progress since 1967?
And what have we gained? Well, less. Iran recently concluded a multibillion dollar deal with China for the supply of oil and gas, which leaves the US out of the picture. $100 per barrel oil achieved this year, going up to $150 per barrel if anyone ever fucks with Iran.
So please stop with this IT’S ALL ABOUT OIL theme. Someone may hear you. Israel, for example, might refuse our 6 billion in aid per year, which includes free military equipment, and send us back what they already have. If this line escalates, we could lose the entire Middle East, or whatever we think we have of it. Then I wouldn’t even be able to drive my Toyota around any more. Too expensive.
So let me ask you this. Who is more powerful: the Israel Lobby or the Oil Lobby?
The Israel Lobby or the Oil lobby?
Or who is more intelligent. More successful.
So far.
Israelis have a life or death fight on their hands.
As Samuel Johnson once said. “Depend upon it, sir, when a man knows he is to be hanged in a fortnight, it concentrates his mind wonderfully.”
The oil interests?
Fat and lazy.
But sheer power?
No comparison.
FORGET about Goliath.
David vs. Godzilla.
As
My point is simply that our foreign policy actions in the Middle East are likely multidetermined.
If the Neoconservatives were all oil men, one might perhaps agree that Israel’s influence is trivial. But that doesn’t appear to be the case. If you want to argue that Big Oil is taking advantage of and perhaps using Israel as a front cause for Middle East adventures, that might be a more logical course to ponder. I haven’t seen any DO IRAQ (OR IRAN) FOR BIG OIL signs around yet.
And:
I know that there are many vectors working on the Middle East. And I am quite clear that the NeoCons are not mostly Big Oil functionaries, but rather ideologues with pro-Israel and/or pro-Reactionary aims.
But the real power lies in the real money. And in the real manufacturing power and the real weaponry/real armed forces.
Again…you’ve got 5 million Jews living on a sand dune surrounded by over 1.6 billion Muslims, many of the most powerful of whom are decidedly anti-Israel.,. and the (still) most powerful country in the world militarily and in terms of weapons development and manufacture is just about the only factor that is keeping those 1.6 billion Muslims from matching right into Israel and completely decimating it.
Where does the actual power lie in any attempt to compare Israel and the U.S.?
Please.
David has succeeded in leading one of the Goliaths around by the nose in order to survive the enmity of the other Goliath. Very cleverly, in the short run. One of the ways that it did so was to agree to act as America’s attack dog/annoyance factor/wedge in the Middle East. Tit for tat. We’ll protect and supply you; you be our agent of disruption. But in the process Israel’s Goliath has begun to wear down and tatter. It was one thing when oil was plentiful and cheap, when most Americans were living high on the hog compared to the rest of the world. But those same Assmericans who were on an easy money/mass consumption trip that will go down in the historical record books as by FAR the largest and wealthiest middle class movement ever to come down the pike are suddenly going broke. Now it’s two jobs for every household or scuffle city. It’s skyrocketing gas prices. It’s a country that is hardening into a domestic police state because of terrorism fears. Fatmericans are getting a little…restive.
AND the Israeli attack dog is beginning to look a little tame. Other dogs have been showing up.
In packs.
Wif TEETH.
I personally do not think that Israel has a prayer of remaining in its current form. As a “Jewish state”. I do not think that the U.S. or the international oil interests will continue to see that it is in their best interests to support Israel.
Why, as you ask elsewhere, have U.S. pols tended to quake in their boots when AIPAC lobbyists call for cooperation?
Well…it’s not been for the couple of million Jewish votes in the U.S, for one thing. Maybe in a few states, a few cities, but that’s it. Only 5 million Jews TOTAL here. So how many voters does that make? 2 million? If that? The “Jewish vote” does not mean SHIT in Iowa. Bet on it.
It’s been about the money.
And about the political and media power that said money has been able to buy.
Duh.
Well…the REALLY big money is eventually going to figure out that support of Israel is no longer in its best interests. The oil money, the Fortune 500 money. And that money makes what is available to AIPAC look like chump change.
I wrote:
Yup.
Watch.
Big money talks louder than little money.
Watch.

Thanks for taking the time AG. Your arguments are not unheard…but…who is the third largest donor to AIPAC? See Mattes above. You may think it is peanuts compared to Big Oil money, but it is having an impact on Congress. Frankly I don’t know of or at least haven’t heard of the fear Big Oil money is putting out there that is shaking the halls of Congress.
“Muslims, many of the most powerful of whom are decidedly anti-Israel…”
No kidding. Well, they watch Al Jeezera nightly with the raw news about injustice and death from Palestine every night. We here in the US do not get this news, else we would hate Israel as well. There’a blackout, didn’t you know?
BIG OIL RUNS THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH.
What the fuck do you think Vice President-In-Charge Cheney is doing up there?
Isn’t that ENOUGH power?
Please.
Power comes from the end of a dollar. AND from executive privilege.
So far…the executive branch has gotten every damned dollar that it wants to fight its Blood For Oil War.
From the (shaken not stirred) halls of Congress.
AG
P.S. I am not defending Israel or pro-Israel forces here, so the “No kidding” crack is unnecessary as well.
Yes. I am WELL aware of the news blackout.
Arthur, you are a very informative guy. But I’m not waiting for the day when Big Oil sends out the word to the Executive Branch to, “dump Israel,” it’s become too much of a nuisance, a costly one. We don’t need this cover anymore. Don’t think I’ll ever see it.
Thanks for your extended replies.
our policies toward Israel change when we are no longer dependent on Oil.
It will be in Israel’s best interest to keep us dependent.
