In 2000 and 2004 I watched caucus coverage on C-SPAN and they picked a random caucus to focus on all night. I anticipate that they’ll do the same thing tonight.

These folks picked the winner in both Republican and Democratic caucus since 1980.
"But I will not let myself be reduced to silence."C-Span junkie here. They will do a live Democratic caucus starting at 7 PM Eastern on C-Span1. They will do a Republican caucus live on C-Span2 also at 7PM Eastern.
Those times are Eastern but it will be 6PM in Iowa, 4:00 Pacific. And this includes a 1/2 hour pre-show. They do the actual caucus at 7:30 ET, 6:30 Iowa, 4:30 Pacific. They have allocated several hours for it. I assume they’ll do viewer calls before and after. And it wouldn’t surprise me if they re-run it overnight.
I had to turn away from CSPAN simply because I can get better video from my cellphone. Maybe I’ll go back, as I have MSNBC on right now and I’ve don’t nothing but yell at Matthews for the last 15 minutes. And I have brochitis right now, so this can’t last all night.

What stark differences between the parties. The Republicans do a prayer and nationalistic musical tributes. The Democrats wander around like confused sheep bumping into each other. It’s hard to follow the dems because no one knows how to speak into a microphone.

The Republicans are doing a very organized meeting (Hitler would be proud.) A representative from each candidate is making a speech and then I guess they vote. They don’t break up and redistribute based on viability though.
LOL…It’s pretty bad, huh? I still can’t accept that this is the way to go. I can’t wait for the day that every state has it’s primary on the same day. Screw this caucus stuff.
Someone compared it to a giant game of dodgeball in something I read today. I think I agree. And it’s like children picking teams. No one wants to be the last one picked or to be on one of the loser teams. Ugh.

I’m not watching, but just tuned into CNN (no C-SPAN) for a minute and saw that Clinton is at 34%, Edwards and Obama at 33%.
I’ll tell ya if these two win, that means the Populist message is the unifying one in the country. I know it’s early, about 23% reporting but I’m getting my hopes up at this point.

In the dem sample on C-Span Obama and Edwards came in close together vote-wise. Clinton was way behind.
Delegates: Obama got 3. Edwards got 2 and Clinton got 1.
as much about him as they say about Iowans.
I’m very disappointed in Dodd’s numbers. I was kind of backing him and really wanted to see a strong showing here.
