At a White House press conference Dana Perino, in criticizing Democrats’ recent contempt resolution, shared this pearl of wisdom:
…The `people’s House’ should reflect the priorities of the American people, not the fantasies of left-wing bloggers.
So what exactly is the implication here? Left-wing bloggers are not American people? Our demand for protection of the constitution, the rule of law, and checks and balances is a “fantasy”? How dare we hold our elected officials to task! How dare we pay attention to and act on the injustice we observe.
I smell desperation….or maybe I need a shower. Maybe both. The fact that the White House Press Secretary even acknowledges that left-wing bloggers have an influence is telling. Or maybe I’m being too optimistic. In any event I have just one thing to say to Dana (ala John Stewart to Mittens): FUCK YOU.
