I believe the following clip of Hillary on the campaign trail is important and deserves wider play. I heard about this moment a couple of days ago on a blog (maybe this blog — I don’t recall). But I hadn’t seen the actual moment until just now.
It is an example of the bankruptcy of her campaign.
She can only whiff at what Obama has brought to the table and then seek to co-opt his messages. And then, when she co-opts the message, she sounds as phony as a three-dollar bill.
I keep seeing her, and thinking her own words will doom her. But then again, it looks like 42% of those Democrats polled nationally still haven’t gotten the message.
So please play this. And pass it around to your own blogging friends. Let everyone who is still trying to make up their minds have a look at her. And provide them a little context. Like — before Iowa, Obama was the candidate of “change” and Clinton was the candidate of “experience.” And then after Iowa, Clinton was suddenly the agent to actually “get change done.” Remind them that Obama has been talking to sold out arenas — who he has inspired to believe in the process again — to come into the process or back to the process — and remind them that these crowds of new voters will not respond to the lame message Clinton tries to take from Obama below — a message that has encouraged these fresh voters to join the man in pleading for change — in communal callings of “Yes We Can!!!” For weeks and weeks. When he was up. When he was down. And that Clinton accused him of offering false hope with words for his efforts. Then play them this clip — where Clinton again — lamely tries to co-opt his message.
She is not the messenger of change. She is the messenger of doom. See for yourself.
I’m embarrassed for her. I guess she thinks thats clever. Right now she is the messenger of lame. She’ll co-opt the doom message from McCain in the general election. I can hear her calling for a billion more years in Iraq already.
How true. I had only read about it and now after watching that video, I wish I had left it that way. It was actually much worse than I imagined and I imagined pretty bad.
What’s even sadder is that since Jan.4th, Clinton has done nothing, but co-opt Obama’s speeches, policies and rhetoric.
She said in New Hampshire she’d “found her own voice…” — but apparently she lost it, or something. Or maybe she really hasn’t found it yet. Even her speaking voice sounds strained here.
It’s sad, because she really is a very smart, very capable individual. I would rather see her trying to run on her strengths — or using her strengths in the Senate on behalf of New York and the American people.
Is Bill CLinton off his leash, again?
This can’t be true?
MSNBC Bill Spars With Obama Supporter
if true that he made physical contact, they’ve come unhinged.
Why didn’t you include the part about this guy heckling him for the entire speech and that the guy then sped to the rope line to confront him above.
This is what goes on all the time on this site, just give the part of the story that makes him or her look bad , so all of you can oooh and ahhhh in unison, about how bad they are…
makes me sick everytime I read this crap on this site, normally fair minded folks, at least that’s what I used to think, but no more.
That is such an incredible load of crap, it’s not even funny. I agree that iredit should have included the heckling part, but there is no basis for your statement at all.
sorry, I should have said “Clinton bashing” is what goes on, on this site all the time, and finding something bad to say about them goes on here every single day…and quite a few slapdown and negative comments are signed fabooj and idredit, coincidence?
BTW I wasn’t trying to be funny, just expressing my feelings as you all seem to do every day here.
I don’t bash Clinton. I bash the lost and misguided way the campaign is run. The person, the Senator is nothing to me, a mere figurehead. I have serious problems with the racists tactics, the discounting of voters and insulting of my intelligence. If you want to call that Clinton-bashing, then go for it.
touchy touch. I provided the link.
