From the lips of Senator Hillary Clinton, on why it doesn’t matter what kind of delegate you are, you can always vote for her no matter what:
I just don’t think this is over yet, and I don’t think that it is smart for us to take a position that might disadvantage us in November. And also remember that pledged delegates in most states are not pledged. You know, there is no requirement that anybody vote for anybody. They’re just like superdelegates. […]
There are different ways to become a delegate, there are delegates from caucuses, there are delegates from primaries, and there are the appointed delegates, they’re all equal, they all have an equal vote – those are the rules of the Democratic Party. Now if you don’t like the rules, change them going forward but those are the rules. And they are there for a purpose, because if you go back and look 30 years ago, people were elected to Congress said, ‘Wait a minute, this party is not running winning elections. We need to have a say, with all due respect,’ so, they have a say. You know, the goals are very conveniently being interpreted, you know – Michigan shouldn’t count because of the rules and and we shouldn’t count the superdelegates even though the rules…You know, I think that doesn’t make sense.
Sure sounds like she intends to poach some of Obama’s pledged delegates to me. But that can’t be, can it? Because just two weeks ago her campaign promised that it had no intention of doing that after she made similar comments. So, what was she talking about, anyway?
I’m as curious to know as the rest of you.
Hillary & Company tried that in Iowa and Obama picked up even more delegates as people got sick of their negativity. They are trying it here in Texas and I think it will back fire on them here as well.
It is really an acknowledgment that they don’t have a viable victory scenario.

Oui, you forgot the quotes around “patriotic.” Heh.
I’m feeling a little punchy today. Sorry.
How are you doing? We’re missing the Netherlands. (((sigh))) I guess I’ll just have to find some tulips from some where and plant them–if I’m not already too late.
She is a liar. Period. As is her husband.
They could end this tomorrow, but they choose not to. They’d rather hand this to John McCain than to lose a shot for their precious third term.
I am just sick to death of their mendacity.
psst…did you get my email last week?
No! Oh, duh. Let me take a look. I’m sorry!!!
And thank you!
🙂
Allegedly, HRC got the Bosnia landing accurate in all the other times that she told this story, including the narrative in her book. My question is that with all this practice, how did she go so far afield? Does she take us for fools? The longer this battle goes on, the more she displays the pernicious parts of her personality and despite all her so-called experience, her credibility is becoming more and more in doubt.
George W. Bush is the instrument by which God will destroy the United States.
George W. Bush is not an instrument of God, but does seem to be the instrument that is destroying the U.S. I’d look towards Big Oil and ponder if they’ve played out the use of America’s military for their purposes. The Euro and Oil may soon be making an alliance that leaves the U.S. in the dust.
Maybe they can squeeze out one more war before the Bush show shuts down.

the Obama girl is back. she comforts Hillary, tells her the fate of the Democratic party is in her hands..
Hillary! Stop the Attacks!” Love, Obama Girl
Watch It
Hey “Obama Girl” I love you. What a super cool video. And “Idredit” many thanks for making that post. God, I love this internet stuff.
“Creation is fun!” (God)
lots of machinations out there –
Florida Super-D, U.S.Rep. Tim Mahoney, leaning Hillary, says:
Don’t discount Gore-led ticket
Adam Nagourney: (NYT) Obama poll collapse in final contests may be Clinton’s best hope
Oh PLEASE can we bury the foolish idea that Gore will ever run for office again. Just what the party needs is for the people’s voice to be totally ignored and Gore put on the ticket. That would make a McCain victory a certainty.
Of course, last I checked, there hasn’t been an Obama poll collapse…
Rules, we don’t need no stinkin’ rules…
The poaching of delegates certainly can be an issue. When my precinct asked me to be a delegate it was based on my promise to them that I would remain committed to Obama because the group understood that a delegate could indeed swap.
That sounds like a very Republican thing to say to me. Very much “he said, she said”, attempting to muddy the water by distorting and comparing a bunch of unrelated things. No-one’s saying the superdelegates shouldn’t count, just that they shouldn’t overturn the will of the people. But of course, that’s problematic for Clinton, since her entire game plan at this point is “overturn the will of the people”.
Come on, Boo, what’s with the slanted coverage? She’s not poaching delegates, she’s just trying to persuade them to switch over to her on their own. They ARE adults, you know.
