President Bush discussing the White House Torture Club:
“[Y]es, I’m aware our national security team met on this issue. And I approved.”
And I’m aware that Bush is now a confessed war criminal. I suggest that we start asking our candidates if they will prosecute him, and each of his colleagues in infamy, for these war crimes after he leaves office. We should also start calling our Congressional representatives and asking them what exactly is the standard to impeach a President, anyway? Fellatio with someone other than your wife while in office, or authorizing the deliberate breaking of American and international laws against torture (and waging an aggressive war, as well)? For some damn reason I don’t see the former as being in the same league as the latter, even if “It’s OKay If You’re A Republican” (IOKIYAR) is used as a defense.
But then I’m just some crazy leftard moonbat with Bush Derangement Syndrome, so what do I know?
Update [2008-4-12 11:45:41 by Steven D]: Former Hitler Youth member Pope Benedict also has Bush Derangement Syndrome. It must be contagious.
Bush the decider-in-chief takes an additional title:
Torturer-in-Chief
he admits to having given his approval no less. What an idiot!
Detour: there’s a war crimes trial up ahead. Count on it. No statute of limitations…and, plenty of precedents.
for some reason I think W will live the rest of his life in exile at his ranch in Paraguay.

I honestly believe the kool-aide drinkers thought the GOP would be a permanent majority in this country.
They never thought so many of them would be ousted during the next round of elections we had; and there would be consequences for any of this. Too much kool-aide.
This is the legacy of the Tom Delay years. Remember when the Velvet Hammer became just The Hammer? When Delay and the House Republican leadership would quite publicly make a point of passing legislation with only Republican votes? I’ve not seen such arrogance and such hubris in my lifetime. They really thought they owned the government. They really thought they could run it as their own private sandbox. And they really thought that would go on forever.
The political tsunami is forming just over the horizon.
Republican incumbents better break out their life jackets cuz there is a sea change coming. As to Bush and Cheney and all their neo-con partners in sin, let the war crime tribunals meet and commence their work. Jail is the only place for such wretched human beings.
Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld = an American axis of evil.
Go get em Steven. How about adding the fact that unless I am wrong- the Hitler Youth member won’t be visiting Boston Ma– “Home of the Pedophile Movement” in this former great country!
Afraid? You bet your ass. But I guess that I am being insulting. Oh well. Considering the fact that such a stalwart Amerikan as the regan progeny over at Town Hall has posted a screed in which he calls the dems and the O man supporters of Alqaida(screw the spelling thats OK. Perfectly fitting.
I wonder when all those 65 percenters that oppose the war will reach the marching point. I wonder when the poor bastards out here get riled up enough to challenge the bastards that have just passed a bill in the US Senate that focuses on the BUILDERS and the LENDERS while basically telling the more than a million or two folks that are losing their homes in the coming months.
I wonder when the Congress of the US decides that the Military works for Us and not the reverse.
Oh well.
