I keep an eye on the Hillary blogs. I mostly find them depressing. The comments can be depressing, too. Sometimes the comments are downright offensive. But mostly, they’re a source of tremendous amusement. I don’t think the Hillary fans find our comment threads amusing at all.

That’s because they, like their candidate, have no sense of humor. 😉
I think it’s a symptom of true believers. They have to hold on to their own reality with all they have because their reality isn’t in sync with the world. It’s hard to get jiggy when you’re grinding your teeth and squeezing your eyes shut.
I suggest you hop over to that other candidates for president. There will be 4:
McCain, don’t know his, don’t care.
Obama, we know it
Bob Barr– says he’s polling well with front-runners, McCain and Obama!
Ralph Nader, does he have a web site?
I find them about as amusing as a Rove press release.
But frustrating, because I honestly keep hoping to understand why anybody would be enthusiastic about her becoming president, and all I see is:
— It’s her time. A Second-Coming-style notion that makes all the Clintonite talk of Obama’s cultlike following pretty ironic.
— She has experience. Of failure, but experience, whereas Obama was born 3 years ago.
OK maybe it is funny.
You left out number one:
“Because she’s a woman.”
And the unspoken reason which is becoming apparent: “Because she’s white”
not just a woman:
Huffpost has the goods – MSNBC Guest Calls Hillary Clinton “Chief White Woman” In America
what’s in the MSNBC brand of water?
Shouldn’t this be “White Chieftess”?
American english – violates grammatical rules.
It is funny. Trust me…LAUGH! At least the laughter will cause a biochem. change in your body. Maybe raise the serotonin levels enough to deal with the reality of it all…
I, too, have sampled but I find both articles and comments make me feel sick.
I do find it interesting to watch certain words or phrases spread all over. The phrase du jour seems to be: “throwing X under the bus.”
BTW – is the BT store open for business?
I have noticed a “DONATE” button. Do I have to belong to PayPal to donate?
Is it possible to send a donation in check form? If so, where?
The store is closed right now because the proprietor closed down his web business. I’m probably going to offer free BT merchandise soon to people that make donations of varying sizes.
You can email me for my mailing address if you do not have a paypal account.
I just went over to Talk Left to see what’s going on. Looks as if they have successfully purged the site of any dissent. Big Tent Democrat is throwing his weight around in comments and banning anyone that shows a hint of independent thinking.
Here’s a comment a poster named halstoon just made:
I would have more respect for Obama if he addressed Wright the way Pfleger addressed him. Selling hiim down the river to appease poor white people is not a move I admire in Sen. Obama.
I know it’s disrespectful in his eyes to say he wasn’t sincere in his rejection of Wright, but I think it’s disrespectful to reject Wright in the first place.
Why go to a church that bases itself on social justice and is led by a preacher who speaks the naked truth about America for 20 years and then expect people to act as though you don’t agree with those things? Why didn’t he find a more sedate and traditional church if he wanted to be perceived in that manner?
And then Big Tent Democrat responds:
You are suspended this week
Too funny Herr Armando. If you can’t beat them . . . . ban them.
The poster asked why he got a time out so stay tuned to see what sort of ad hoc justification Armando comes up with.

Dude, I’m gonna need therapy, now. I mean, more than I already did. Somebody called “Big Tent Democrat” has apparently SUSPENDED someone… They sure talk loudly and carry a big stick over there, or… talk big and carry sticks loudly… or somethin’.
Big tent? Sounds like a pup tent.
I posted at TalkLeft for a couple of years, but when I criticized Jeralyn’s version of reality it was out with me. Oh well, It’s tiresome there. The people there don’t even believe in math.
I’m one of those who tend not to wander over yonder into Hillaryland, though I did like hearing daring stories of danger and suspense featuring the Hill-o-copter! Quit reading MyDD months ago, o’course. I’ve heard Taylor Marsh is the queen of all things Hillary-supporting, but just glancing at her stuff on HuffPo would give me severe dyspepsia and I’d have to lie down, which I’ve since read only aggravates dyspepsia. …Okay, not really. But I bet Marsh is sure scary, though.
Hillary Blog = finding excuses to stay in a race she can’t win.
I’ve been reading a site called Anglachel’s Journal in an effort to understand the mind of the Hillary supporter. Tres bizarre, to say the least.
From the first paragraph of the most current post, apparrently without irony:
Really? Why am I guessing this is at least a little teensy bit disengenuous (to put it diplomatically).
Chimney,
The writer thought they had finally put a stage in Obama so they could afford to sound sincere about the recent events. They’re just wrong. Obama is going to be the nominee.
Enjoy the following from another blog 😀
Grandma Obama and Black Folks Beware
Posted: 29 Apr 2008 02:38 PM CDT
Oh yes he can. Based on Barack’s triple back flip today, if you are part of the “black community” or Barack’s white granny you got to be nervous. Please reconcile Barack’s statement today to the press with what he said in Philadelphia about Jeremiah Wright:
I can no more disown him than I can disown the black community. I can no more disown him than I can my white grandmother – a woman who helped raise me, a woman who sacrificed again and again for me, a woman who loves me as much as she loves anything in this world, but a woman who once confessed her fear of black men who passed by her on the street, and who on more than one occasion has uttered racial or ethnic stereotypes that made me cringe.
Yes he can and yes he did. Run Grandma, run.
oops..put a STAKE in Obama
