Seeking Richard Mellon Scaife’s endorsement? Peanuts. Granting Bill O’Reilly an extensive interview? Small potatoes. Claiming hard working class white people would only support her? Those were just appetizers in her rush to seek approval from the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy. For Hillary Clinton, this is the Big Enchilada, and it can’t possibly get any worse:
Clinton: Karl Rove analysis supports me as strongest candidate
At a campaign stop in Prestonburg, Kentucky, Sen. Hillary Clinton said that an election analysis by a firm led by Karl Rove supports the argument that she is a stronger Democratic candidate than Sen. Barack Obama.
Said Clinton, “There’ve been a lot of analysis [sic] about which of us is stronger to win against Sen. McCain, and I believe I am the stronger candidate. And just today I found some curious support for that position when one of the TV networks released an analysis done by — of all people — Karl Rove saying that I was the stronger candidate. Somebody got a hold of his analysis and there it is.”
Here’s Olbermann’s take on this:
You have my permission to vomit now. At least, that’s what I plan to do.
oh for pete’s sake.
this is just embarrassing for everyone.
jonathan alter wants us to give hillary a break?
methinks she’s had all the breaks that one could ask for…and mishandled and squandered them all.
she’s gone over to the dark side…Ratpub
liteThis reminds me when GOP operatives get quoted in the article scolding what the Dem need to do better, like they care. Or when right wing GOP pundits rip Dems down on cable shows for their “analysis” of the Prez primary race.
Karl Rove is as disengenius as it gets.
Boy, and can I remember Hillary supporters barfing when Obama mentioned Reagan, the context notwithstanding. They’re such hypocrites if they can’t see how much worse this is!
Man, that Hillary is a piece of……..work. When she was standing in front of Gov. Bobblehead in Ohio she was scolding Obama for (supposedly) using “Rove’s Playbook”. Now she cites…Rove?…as a “proof” of her Superior Candidacy?
I still say if she’s the stronger candidate, why is she losing? And I wonder at her ability to remain solidly encased in a fantasy.
She used Rove for one reason. When she got up in the morning her inbox was empty for MSM supporters. He was all she had. That she chose to use him was worthy of an Ari Flescher nod for grand deflection.
and we all know how accurate Rove’s math was in the 2006 elections:

“quoting Karl Rove the political adviser for the lowest rated President in modern history”… . the enemy of my enemy is my friend..Hillary and Rove..strange bed partners indeed.
I’ll vomit later, when I stop laughing my ass off. Just when you think you’ve seen it all, there’s something else. Go visit driftglass, if you haven’t already.
Let me say it again. Since Super Tuesday Clinton has been softening up Obama for the GE. She is just working for the people who pay her.
What’s so embarrassing about HRC’s campaign is that the dark side of her personality is manifesting for all to see leaving us in sheer wonderment. Sitting down with Richard M. Scaife, interviewing with Mr. Bully O’Reilly, quoting the mendacious Karl Rove as a source of election wisdom, praising John McCain as having the stuff of national leadership, allowing her campaign staff to use some nasty little tricks, Hillary is a walking demonstration of the meanness and psychic violence of the shadow self.
No doubt the pressure she is under and the twin threats to financial and psychological health are weakening her interior defenses and allowing the less pleasant parts of herself to come to the surface. And, she is losing the biggest contest of her life.
Lord only knows how this morality play will end. I don’t think anyone involved; the democratic party, the nation, Hillary herself will come out on the plus side. Perhaps, the electorate will get the kind of leaders it deserves. Sure hope it’s Obama.
