Exactly. Who’d want a third Bush term? Only morons.
McCain does not remember what stand he took when and it has nothing to do with, age as in old. We’re screwed if he takes the oath of office.

Seriously, McCain could name Jeb his running mate…only I read Jeb is the smartest one of the clan.
Hilzoy writes about how The NYT has turned up a copy of John McCain’s thesis from the National War College. In it McCain writes about how POW’s are treated and what the military should do with respect to their policies and training.
I haven’t read his thesis myself, but Hilzoy’s summary was interesting. Most notable to me: McCain described self-induced punishment (stress positions, etc) as “torture” then, when he clearly has no problems with such treatment of prisoners now.

The New York Times has aquired a 44-page report filed in 1974 by Commander John S. McCain after his return from North Vietnam. The document is titled “Individual Research Project: The Code of Conduct and the Vietnam Prisoners of War.” The full pdf can be found here.
The Times’ story on McCain’s report focuses on his suggestion that American troops be told more about U.S. foreign policy, and upon McCain’s insistance on the importance of forgiveness: an issue McCain addresses briefly toward the end of the report.

LONDON (SkyNews) – George Bush has enjoyed afternoon tea with the Queen on the final leg of his farewell tour of Europe. The US President and his wife Laura spent time with Her Majesty and the Duke of Edinburgh at Windsor Castle.
As Mr Bush moved on to Whitehall (Downing Street 10) for a meeting with Gordon Brown, up to 2,000 protesters gathered for a rally organised by the Stop War Coalition, CND and the British Muslim Initiative.
