During the 1992 campaign, Clinton took on Sistah Soljah, a strident rapper, as an opportunity to get in a slap at a democratic, liberal symbol. By dumping on this hapless rapper, Clinton was able to gain much cred amonst the politically moderate.
So, is FISA being used to offset Obama’s rep as the “most liberal senator”? Is he using his position here to move center-wise, at the expense of those of us who see serious constitutional questions?
