Mississippi

Ronnie Musgrove is emphasizing fiscal conservatism as a way to improve the value of the dollar and help lower gas prices.

Tennessee

There’s a three-way Democratic primary in the Volunteer state. Candidate Mike Padgett fashions himself a Heath Shuler Democrat. He’s an interesting candidate, but I don’t think we need more Heath Shuler Democrats. Kenneth Eaton looks remarkably like Jerry Falwell and his positions are unorthodox. He’s for amnesty for illegal immigrants, but he says were stuck in Iraq for the indefinite future. And his big issue is eminent domain. Meanwhile, Bob Tuke sounds a lot like Jim Webb.

Oklahoma

One of our best candidates is Andrew Rice. He has a long climb to compete in Oklahoma, but Jim Inhofe is insane enough to find a way to lose.

Alabama

Hank Aaron continues to stump for long-shot candidate Vivian Figures.

Kansas

Pat Roberts is worried enough to run negative ads against Democrat Jim Slattery even before Slattery has secured the nomination.

Idaho

Larry LaRocco and independent Rex Rammell are going to have a bunch of debates whether or not the Republican nominee bothers to show up.

Nebraska

Scott Kleeb believes in addressing climate change. His opponent does not.

Georgia

The final debate in the Democratic primary took place yesterday. The election is Tuesday. My heart is with Rand Knight, but my head is with Jim Martin. If no one wins 50% of the vote in the 5-way race, there will be a run-off for the top two finishers.

South Carolina

I can’t support Bob Conley but he would be an interesting personality in the Senate. I’d also just like to see Lindsey Graham lose. South Carolina politics are bizarre.
