I understand if your father is a Republican that you might start out your life as a Republican, too. After all, your Dad is cool and intelligent and he knows a whole lot more about the world than you do. And I can also understand it if, a la Michael J. Fox’s character on Family Ties, you think your family is so uncool that you adopt a political philosophy that is 180 degrees antithetical to theirs. I get that. What I don’t get is why you would become a cheerleader for big business, or see the salvation of the nation in Exxon/Mobil’s quarterly profit reports. Yet, that is essentially what Rush Limbaugh wants Young Republicans to do. How many Alex Keatons can Rush create?
