I defy you to find a recent convention speech with more personal pronouns.
Barack Obama’s speech:
This campaign has never been about me; it’s about you.”
John McCain’s speech:
This campaign has never been about you: It’s about me.
No, seems pretty right to me. The five minutes about Did You Know I Was a POW was a nice touch, because of course most of America was unfamiliar with the story, especially after seeing the hagiography before the speech of ten minutes of Did You Know John McSame Was A POW?
he managed to not mention 11 September 2001?? Shocking!
And he also managed to sneak in how DANGEROUS a world it is — oh, a couple three dozen times.
I thought I’d stick to the parts he thought were REALLY, REALLY important, though.
