True friends of America or Only the True Americans?

Many Americans have questions about Barack Obama and whether his views are good for the United States and Israel. And for good reason.

Most concerning is Sen. Barack Obama’s naive grasp of the threats against the United States and Israel.

Obama has surrounded himself with anti-Israel advisors like General Tony McPeak, Zbigniew Brzezinski, Robert Malley and Reverend Jeremiah Wright.

Contrary to the perception that young people are in the bag for Obama, polls indicate that younger Jewish voters are more likely than older Jews to support Republican Sen. John McCain for president. This surprising finding most recently turned up in an October 23 analysis by Gallup polls that showed growing support for Obama among all Jews, who for a long time had been cool to the Democratic nominee.

The Republican Jewish Coalition — which recently hit Pennsylvania mailboxes with a mailer implying a vote for Obama could produce a second Holocaust — is now hitting Ohio with a wave of incendiary new mailers that directly target his association with Reverend Wright.

“Barack Obama’s friends and advisors: Pro-Palestinian, Anti-Israel, even hostile to America,” reads the mailer, adding that his associates harbor “anti-Israel views” that are “dangerous, naive and reckless.”

A second mailer attacks Obama on Israel with a picture of the Wailing Wall, a holy site whose use in a political attack could prove offensive to many Jews…

and moose-olini palin in missouri flinging more mud: Palin On Democrats: “Do They Think The Terrorists … Are The Good Guys?”…

In a speech just now in Missouri, Sarah Palin unleashed some of the most ostentatious POW-POW-POWing of the campaign, and strongly implied that Dems think the “terrorists” are the “good guys.”

And so Palin’s final appeal on the eve of almost certain defeat puts it right out in the open: It’s war hero versus ally of terrorists who want to destroy America and kill your children.

Which gives rise to a question: What American presidential campaign has been more crassly militaristic and jingoistic than this one?

l’m looking forward to the end of this interminable campaign and a, hopefully massive, rebuke of not only the RATpub’s, BushCo™ with the added bonus of the end of the mc/palin hate fests.

Given the tenor of certain e-mails, I’ve now had to block certain former friends as spam from my yahoo e-mail account. I had gotten several like this.

I wasn’t aware that Obama was running for Prime Minister of Israel. I thought he was running for President of the United States.

I count myself as an Israeli supporter. The people, that is, if not the government. I also oppose the re-creation of the Soviet Union. But anyone who thinks that Israeli’s security should come before America’s or thinks we should risk nuclear holocaust for Georgia’s independence has a strange view of patriotism.

Diebold willing, in January we will hear Barack Obama say,”I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.” Nothing there about Israel or Georgia, or Iraq.

Hmmm! The Postal Service (and the US Navy) made me add the words “and bear true faith and allegiance” and “… against all enemies, foreign and domestic.” So I guess I had to promise more than the POTUS.

Off the subject, the military oath also had me swear to “obey the LAWFUL orders of my superiors” (Emphasis added by me). So “just obeying orders” doesn’t cover Abu Gharib, Gitmo or lying to Congress.
