You should repost some of those street scene pictures over here too.
Here’s a link.
You can post the ginko pic in this week’s FFF — it’ll be a nice one for the Fall theme. 🙂
I’m waiting for the report from Marlo about the group of wacky people who showed up claiming they new you. Then we’ll get the real story of the great cupcake caper 🙂
That will be funny. 😉
Hah, sure will!
According to CG, she left when they showed up — so I think we can leap to all sorts of hugely imaginative conclusions from that.
that ole reliable pain in the butt.
Hope everybody had a good weekend.

And this Monday is accompanied by a malingering CBtY who doesn’t want to get up. What a surprise. 🙂
I don’t blame him — we’re in the brown-and-gray part of all and malingering seems like just the right reaction.
It’s a nice day here today, but he’s thinking his stomach is bothering him. Unfortunately, it seems to be a Monday-specific ailment every week.
It looks like most of the oak leaves came down while we were away this weekend. Ugh, more work.
no neighbors, no raking. 😉
Off to walk through huge piles of newly fallen leaves on the ground in the woods.
That’s pretty much how I feel about Mondays too!
Heh,
I just e-mailed that I would work from home today.
No work for us poor, downtrodden public servants tomorrow, eh boran2?
Lucky us!
Wednesday and several weeks following will not be pretty, as the property tax bills were mailed today.
fall in in full swing here, with cold nights and clear sunny days.
Chilly nights, are the best, aren’t they?
Chilly, but not so clear here, with rain soon to arrive.
BTW, those are lovely cupcakes you have there, my dear;-)
There’s just a few leaves left on the oaks and beeches here; everything else is bare. But we had a gorgeous fall, probably the best we’ve ever had here.
We’re heading into cold, dreary weather — which I’m sure will once again wmake you glad you’re living in a part of The True Blue South™.
“Your friends were so nice”.
Um, I guess you guys need to work on your wackiness. 😉
Hmmm…where did we go wrong? 😉
Mary will be so disappointed.
Mary should have known that eating good gooey desserts takes a lot skill and attention and leaves no time for trifles.
I’m still wishing for more of that vanilla frosting. Sigh.
How are you this morning?
I slept till 5:30 so I’m feeling pretty good.
How are the malingering ones?
They’re getting up now. The time change is really having a dramatic effect on us this year, with everyone being in bed by 9 or 930 last night. We downloaded an episode of Weeds (that show is too funny), watched it, and fell asleep right after.
Wow, 5:30, that’s like totally sleeping in for you. What happened?
The dogs had the same problem — they wanted breakfast and dinner too early but they’re starting to adjust.
Good morning!
Yes, that show brings out the chuckles. We may watch a couple of episodes tonight.
We’re trying to stretch them out for awhile, since there’s nothing exciting on teevee these days.
Btw, we really enjoyed our visit with you and curly. How’s her knitting coming along?
Well, we had a great time, too.
I’ll have to inspect progress tonight.
Great diplomatic talent she has.
Good morning!
I imagine that after her more than a decade in the corporate world, even the grumpy customers must look pretty nice — and I’m sure you folks were the height of charm.
At least we were trying for normalcy.
And what could be more normal than eating wonderful stuff that ought to be good for you, even if it isn’t. 🙂
So … they bought a LOT of cupcakes … 🙂
A promise kept:
Good morning all. Us hardworking civil servants are off for the day, resting for more hard work tomorrow. 2nd cup of coffee?
Good morning all from this humble public servant as well! I enjoyed sleeping late and the time for a more leisurely reading of my morning newspapers;-)
And no, this picture has nothing to do with Hump Day. I just like it.
