The Hill reports:
In his last Thanksgiving address in the White House, President Bush said Thursday that he will miss being the leader of the U.S. armed forces.
“During this holiday season, we give thanks for those who defend our freedom. America’s men and women in uniform deserve our highest respect – and so do the families who love and support them,” Bush said in his weekly radio address. “Lately, I have been asked what I will miss about the presidency. And my answer is that I will miss being the Commander-in-Chief of these brave warriors.”
No surprise that he won’t miss ruining the economy or letting New Orleans drown. But miring us down in a land war in Asia isn’t something he should miss, either. On this Thanksgiving, I am thankful that this idiot will not be our commander-in-chief come January 20th.
Think how thankful our brave warriors are today. January 20th and a human being again leads the nation. There is hope for peaceful negotiation and rational solutions to world problems. Thanks for hope.
coward who hid out in the National Guard knows anything about “warriors”.
I knew a couple of guys who went the National Guard route and I respected their decision because it was their way of not participating in a war they hated, But they were upfront about why the were joining.
Georgie only did it to save his sorry ass.
For those too young to remember – the National Guard of that era was much different from the Guard of today which provided much of Bush’s cannon fodder in Iraq.
…and then deserted from the Guard. Only to return for one free teeth cleaning.
We can take back this nation. And frankly, it’s
easy. FDR showed his belly to the U.N. in ’33
by selling the US Federal Government to the U.N.
via public law 89-719 in exCHANGE for the non-backed
dolars needed to supposedly pull this nation out
of bankruptcy. Only, public law 89-719 was and
still is bankruptcy. And I’m sure we all see
the Federal bias by now! Bush was just the
set-up man needed for the next president to
handover the US Government to the Central Banks of
Europe. The Republicans, in a wrongful way,
tried to avoid the fiat inevitable with the 700 billion
dollar scam which will turn into a 3 trillion dollar
heist doing business as an 840 billion dollar
rescue plan. And Bush is still trying to create
the “petro dollar”???? Obama will simply be a
Clinton/Bush COG. A Puppet!
But there wasn’t a UN in ’33.
No, there wasn’t. I believe that Senator Rockefeller’s family tree called it the “League
of Nations” at the time. It’s kind of like
how the verichip changed names to Health link and
veripass. Or how the Patriot act III changed
names to “Protect Amerika Act”. Or how Cecil
Rhodes’ (of Rhodes Scholar fame) country changed
names from Rhodesia to Zimbabwe. The latter
must have ticked Clinton and Stephnaupolous(sp?)
off! yes?
Bush, neither brave nor a warrior, is beneath contempt. That he won (Sic) two terms to the highest office in the land will be to our everlasting shame and disgrace. Two foreign wars combined with a severe economic meltdown plus a serious attack upon our Constitution and fundamental rights will be his ignominious legacy.
No wonder the guy looks like death warmed over when he appears on tv. My wish for him is that he gets exactly what he deserves.
Unless you’re a member of the armed forces, Bush has never been your commander in chief.
