the world may never know 🙂 with that said, i’m off to bed, too much partying to celebrate Arizona beating the crap out of Arizona State in football !!!!!!
Hi Olivia,
I think this is the first time I post two images that are separated by only a few seconds & 180 degrees.
It seems you posted something similar, with a short time separation also.
I believe your shots are cooler though, while mine are hot.
I think Imogen was sitting in that chair at the time.
The other thing that she does that makes me go “ouch” is how she just crashes down on the wood floor – it sounds like someone dropped a burlap sack full of elbows.
Good news — while it’s still cold this morning, we’re starting a warm-up today — high of 40 and high of 50 tomorrow (but then back to the 30s unfortunately).
It seems like it’s been much colder than usual — the lake down at the camp has frozen over and I don’t think it has ever done that in early December before.
We’ve still got the very variable weather thing happening here. I just brought in the laundry because it looks like rain (a drizzle most likely) is on the way. I’m not sure, but I think Winter this year may actually (on average) have been warmer than the last few weeks. Welcome to Summer in Tasmania.
Hi boran! We’ll be 70 tomorrow, but after 6 years down here I still can’t get used to christmas preparations when it’s warm out. Seems all wrong. I haven’t gotten a tree yet nor started shopping for my kids. And since we’re having a Goodwill christmas this year it’s hard to get myself in the mood. :/
Manny,
Very nice. I also think desert sunsets have something a little special to them.
I`ve always been treated to amazing sunsets, every single time I`ve been out there.
She does this all of the time and seriously thinks no one can see her. There could be a pit bull running around the house and she’d be like “meh, no problem, I’m completely hidden by this cloak of invisibility”
Am I the only one up this early today? I have the Shih Tzu to thank for that…
breakfast? it’s still nighttime! 😉
You’re right. It’s still dark here, why am I up?
the world may never know 🙂 with that said, i’m off to bed, too much partying to celebrate Arizona beating the crap out of Arizona State in football !!!!!!
g’night/g’morning
I’m just awake.
Night (since it’s still dark) Manny.
Bigger dogs would never do that to you … 😉
A bright and sunny good morning to all at a more civilized hour;-)
Good morning!
I’ve been up since early, but only lazily lurking.
Cold, and supposed to snow a little later.
‘Morning ask. We’ve been getting it all night, but just lightly. It’s mostly just on the grass now.
Tonight`s sky from my roof-top observatory, for those of you, presently without the advantage of clear skies.

Have a nice week a Head.
Gorgeous.
Thanks Andif,
I`m still sunrise hunting.
lovely!

hot and cold. 🙂
Another entry in the “dogs find the strangest things comfortable” category.
What?
Sometimes all you need is a place to rest your head.
I’m surprised it doesn’t roll away and let her head go thunk. It is sure clear to me that dogs have a very different standard of comfy than I do.
I think Imogen was sitting in that chair at the time.

Bebo does the same thing — we’ve nicknamed her ker-thunk. But she’s around 30 lbs so at least it only sounds like a book falling on the floor.
Something is always getting in the way. 🙂
Happy (?) Monday all.

I think I still have about half an hour till my sky looks like that.
How are you this morning?
Even later here … that was taken at 7:39 a.m.
Doing okay, though I wouldn’t mind a little warm up in the weather. CBs up and raring to go to school? 🙂
They’re gone now. After a half-hearted attempt to stay home on the part of the older one (whose vacation starts at noon next Thursday anyway).
I guess our sunrise is a bit actually a bit later than I thought; maybe it was wishful thinking on my part? 🙂
I’ll see your Monday sunrise and raise you a Monday sunset.
I’m folding. No way I’m beating that.
Good morning, ladies!
Brrr, only 19 outside and wind chill currently at 6.
Good thing my employer let’s us off today for Eid al-Adha.
Good news — while it’s still cold this morning, we’re starting a warm-up today — high of 40 and high of 50 tomorrow (but then back to the 30s unfortunately).
Yes, I just saw the forecast; we’ll get to the 30s today (barely), 40s tomorrow and mid-50s on Wednesday.
It seems like it’s been much colder than usual — the lake down at the camp has frozen over and I don’t think it has ever done that in early December before.
It’s pretty nippy here too. High of 34 expected, and it definitely didn’t get over 30 yesterday (Saturday night’s snow is still on the ground).
Glad I finished up the purple sweater from last winter…it’s keeping me toasty this morning.
Spring time! Woohoo!
Stunning images, all. Thank you so much!
5 below zero @ 7:30 this morning in the Catskills. It’s a sunny day, however.
Hope everyone’s set for a good week.
I saw this at IKEA a couple of weeks ago and had to snap a picture of it:
frogs adorning a tree
Anyone else finding that image a bit surreal?
Hi Manny.
hi keres. it was both surreal and hilarious
That’s funny.
My tree has frogs, but they’re much smaller than those.
Hi Keres.
I’m lost on that.
Lost How? Is it too small to read, or what?
It’s just a spoof someone made.
No I guess I read that well.
Sorry.
No apologies necessary.
my sunset a few minutes ago:
Ooooooooooooooh!
Sailors delight!
kindasorta, the pink was there in the morning, too. we had a blustery day yesterday with rain hitting random parts of the city; though not mine 🙁
Desert sunsets are the best, IMHO.

we’re having crazy weather, too. yesterday it was “cold” in the mid 50s but we’re supposed to be back in the 70s on Saturday.
Well I’d be impressed if I hadn’t seen Tucson put on shows like that just about every night we were there. No big deal. 😉
Non-teasingly, I really don’t think I’ve ever been anywhere with so many spectacular sunsets.
if only i could figure out how to get rid of those metal saguaros in my view 😉
Hi Manny. 🙂
hi o! and thanks, that says alot coming from you, o master wielder of the camera.
Ahh, to be where it’s warm!

Still, 70 degrees sounds nice, especially after our 10 degrees yesterday. That’s too cold to want to bother to run out for holiday preparations.
you must like it, cuz you usually trek your way out here during the hottest time of the year. a reverse snow bird effect has gripped you 🙂
We never do things the easy/conventional way around here.

That’s a great picture. She looks so serene.
She has obviously been in communication with the Romulans. Very tricky diplomats, these felines.
It’s all rested up and raring to go on this week’s theme of Tools and Machines.
Be sure to race on over on Friday
