Even though my readers often dispute it, there is no question that I can be ignored because I am a member of the far left.

I can’t remember if I ignore you, as I seldom can be bothered turning my head to the right . . . (heh)
“first they ignore you”
“then they laugh at you” (but you are funny, IMO)
“then they fight you”
“then you win.”
You’re gettin’ there…you’re gettin’ there….
that’s you, far left. Totally. Why, you make me look like a moderate, you’re so left wing.
Are you still giving out free drugs with every abortion?
If I ever see anyone in the mainstream corporate media explicitly outline what, from their perspective, constitutes a far left position, I will fall over dead right then and there.
This damn “far left” straw man is the stupidest fucking thing they have ever come up with. They absolutely never talk specifically, with examples, what this mysterious, nutty liberal actually believes. Because if they did it would expose this ridiculous notion for what it is, a construct given to them by the right wing that they enthusiastically peddle as fact.
That’s why the pages of BS they generate are serving their highest and most useful purpose when they are lining bird cages.
The other day Ruth Marcus wrote a dipshit editorial piece in the WaPo that referred to those of us who think that Bush administration officials should be held accountable for their crimes of torture as “the Left.” That’s an interesting development– apparently if you beleive in our Constitution and our legal system and the Geneva Conventions you are a certified “leftist.”
Orwell couldn’t have made this shit up.
That makes sense. Consider Not (A AND B) = (not A) OR (not B), therefore:
If you don’t believe in our Constitution or our legal system or the Geneva Conventions you are a certified “rightist.”
Therefore they can suck on it until the next election. Or the one after that. Or the one after that.
what might happen, when in the future the demographics shift and whites are the minority?
Dibs on the old white guy token job.
Even though my readers often dispute it, there is no question that I can be ignored because I am a member of the far left.
You guys hear something?
I’m proud of the Tribune and I feel happy to have known you through your thoughtful commentaries, but I am most delighted over your leftist views and slant. It is a good thing to be leftist; it means that you care about the issues of our time and the ordinary people who walk through them.
Viva the left!
