I’m usually a lurker, but I signed up just to plug Breaking Bad. Best show currently on TV.
i agree found breaking bad by accident last year.
Yup. Definite contender for the best series on TV.
Make that four for Breaking Bad.
.
And five.
Just got the first two discs of the first season and watched the first episode. WOW!
Count me in on the “Breaking Bad” fan club. Someone recommended it to me a couple of months ago and I was very favorably surprised, as in blown away. It’s a modern-day morality play, with outstanding performances. I meet regularly with a group that discusses religious, political, spiritual, and philosophical issues and questions. There is enough meat in any episode of “Breaking Bad” to keep us going for a long time.
HBO’s In Treatment
Kings wasn’t bad until NBC killed it.
Second that.
Antiques Roadshow. Allright, stop giggling.
I love The Unit.
same here, and usually drop by Cold Case before that. don’t have cable so choices limited.
Going by its brilliant and gripping version of Oliver Twist, PBS Masterpiece’s The Old Curiosity Shop ought to be well worth your time.
60 Minutes 7″00 (on West Coast)
Tonight`s airing will include the big oil companies` rape of the South American jungles & the indigenous people lives.
Brothers and Sisters on ABC….because I don’t have HBO to satisfy my giant Gabriel Byrne crush.
I never liked Gabriel Byrne, but I second Brothers and Sisters.
As for what to watch TONIGHT, though, I recommend this:

Scary and important!!
I admit I can’t watch television anymore. The only time I use my TV for broadcasts is when the President is on, and even then I only watch C-SPAN.
M*A*S*H re-runs
yes but its all on hulu so you dont need a tv anymore
you have to pay for it.

A nice essay on society in the Netherlands, the country of Vermeer and Rembrandt, seen through the eyes of an American writer: Going Dutch
“America is the land of the free. But I think we are freer.”
"But I will not let myself be reduced to silence."
Wow – that was a great article!! So well written, entertaining, and wildly informative. I loved this, too! I’m so jealous, now!

Hovering around 3% in NL where EU average has increased to 8.5%.
Small country with highly efficient public transportation and infrastructure due to Europe’s large seaport of Rotterdam.

Yeah – one of my coworkers just returned today from a year in Amsterdam. I asked if he commuted by bike. Of course, he said.
If you haven’t been there, you may not understand. It’s an old city, built long before cars, and there’s water crisscrossing the city everywhere, so the few roads they have are narrow. There are only a few parking places in town at all.
Imagine a five-story garage filled with bicycles. Now you’re thinking Amsterdam. I have a photo of that, somewhere. Very cool.
Hi Oui. Great article, thanks for the link.
duh!
family guy, followed by american dad.
and of course, the simpsons are still good.
now, if they’d only cancel that awful “king of the hill”…
With ltd access on my tv I watch new season of In Plain Sight. Am envious of all of you.
