Bush cleared brush to prove he’s a regular guy. Obama eats burgers. The strange thing about it is that he’s got more of a reputation as a health-conscious eater than as someone who powers down Five Guys’ burgers. Michelle set up the organic garden on the White House grounds. And their chef specializes in healthy menus. But the real question is, why does the Obama administration hate Pepsi?
What’s on your menu?
Ramen noodles – I’m saving every penny towards buying a new house.
I like the shrimp flavor.
Pepsi is mostly corn syrup and caffeine. I prefer coke or anything else.
To my mind Pepsico has always been about profiting from somebody else’s creativity and productivity plus lots of marketing.
The only thing good Pepsi has is the red colored Mountain Dew(I know .. Commie conspiracy and all that .. lol!!) .. Code Red I think is the name of it
“Pepsi is mostly corn syrup and caffeine.“
And Coke is different exactly how?
Why does Obama hate Pepsi? Maybe it has to do with some old geezer from Omaha. 😉 Do they have any “5 Guys” in Chester County? But everyone has their weakness. I guess it is hamburgers with Obama. Besides, didn’t Oprah learn not to mess with Texas cattlemen?
alcohol.
Most definately.
on the stolen logo and ads.
I’ve eaten a Five Guys’ burger in Alexandria and let me tell you it was delicious! Hubby’s reaction to this story was, “Can’t the White House chef make him a decent burger?” But, that really misses the point of these excursions. Obama is putting himself out there with “the people,” demonstrating that he won’t get locked inside a bubble and running the risk of possibly encountering a disgruntled citizen along the lines of, “Hey you! Why haven’t you put Cheney in jail yet?” I mean, that’s what I’d be yelling from behind the SS barricade…
On a related tangent, I’ve gone out of my way lately to buy Pepsi “Throwback.” It’s the limited time only “old-fashioned” version made with real cane sugar instead of HFCS. It puts childhood nostalgia in my mouth and I’m hoping the cola-makers get my message because — if I’m going to buy a cola — I’d prefer to drink actual sugar over chemical sugar.
In the past, I preferred Coca-Cola because it has less carbonation than Pepsi. But, in recent years I’ve given up colas all together and switched to coffee because it’s a cheaper source of caffeine and sugar. Now that the weather’s gone hot, I’ll be brewing up sugar-sweetened iced tea. But, for long car rides, nothing beats a carbonated beverage.
Definitely not on the menu: burgers. After about 20 years without, beef makes me gag.
That goes double for cola. It won’t even remove rust like it’s supposed to.
