I wish there was some legal way to make the Republicans stop making shit up about ACORN. But there isn’t. So, the only thing to do is to keep decimating their numbers every time we have elections.

Is there any possible way that a slander or libel lawsuit could be filed by ACORN against some of the most egregious offenders?
I don’t take free speech lawsuits lightly, but it seems like if you move from exaggerations and sly winks about an organization into outright lies, slander laws should become appropriate.
I think legally it is pretty tough for the organization. Individuals who are not public figures would have an easy time.
