   I don’t see Baucus as Lucy, but rather, as Charlie Brown.  He has been played for a sucker by Enzi and Grassley, stringing this process out with vague pledges of ‘bipartisanship,’ getting him to water down his report, and in the end they won’t vote for it.  They’re Lucy, getting the hopelessly naive Charlie Brown to give them another chance.

     it’s even too much for jay rockefeller…

     The way it is right now, now we have an amendment process coming up next week. I’ll have many, many, many amendments and we will see what happens on that. But now, there is no way that I can vote for the Senate package. For a lot of reasons. Obviously the lack of a public option is one of them. So that I want to be very clear about.

     reconciliation, here we come.
