The most important thing that happened today was that the New York Football Gaints shutout the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 24-0. The second most important thing that happened was that the Detroit Lions finally won a game. How’s your team doing?

Well I live in DC, and some might think I would be upset that the Redskins lost to Detroit. But I am ecstatic – I hate the skins mainly because the owner is such a jerk, and I celebrate every time they lose.
I celebrate their every loss until such time as they see fit to change the name of the team….
The New England Patriots defeated the Atlanta Falcons 26-10. I’m fine with that.
If you missed the last Vikings play in the Minnesota-San Franscico game, you wasted your whole Sunday afternoon. 27-24 Vikes.
I really do hate Brett Favre.
But if the Cards lose to Indy then it’s just your regular 0-4 NFC West Sunday.
The Steelers seemed to think they were from Cincinnati today instead of defeating Cincinnati – the receivers obviously lathered their hands with lard before the game…
Honestly, after it was over all I could say was, “How did we win this game?” It’s like it just snuck up on you and then it was over. Quite a shock. We are not used to good endings when the pressure is on.
My Giants won big. And they shutout the lowly Bucs without Tuck in the lineup. Things are looking good in NY. Jets are 3-0 Jints are 3-0 and the Yanks clinched it all today with a sweep over the Bosox.
In related news, pigs were seen flying over the Detroit skyline and a “man” with red skin, a forked tail, and horns was seen outside of Ford Field complaining about how cold it was back home.
Ugh. My team’s season is basically over. Pennington’s likely wrecked his shoulder, and the Dolphins fans’ equivalent of the 28%ers got their wish to see Chad Henne finally get the car keys.
“Henne is the future,” Parcells and Sparano keep saying. And, Oh, What A Future It Is!
Henne, of course, blew the game on a pick six, just as I knew he would after watching footage of the idiot when he was playing for Michigan. Knowing that Henne is a Neanderthal who’s lucky on days he doesn’t need to be reminded to breathe, it was sad to watch.
Could’ve had Flacco. Went with Henne. Powerful stupid.
Our #1 receiver sucks, too. Seriously, just give the ball to Ronnie Brown, and let him make it all up as he goes along. Nobody’s stopped it yet, so I can’t see the harm.
Could we steal Michael Vick from you guys?
Watching Detroit win was a blast, though. And it’s never an altogether bad day when Pittsburgh fails to buy the refs off like normal and loses to the Bungles.
I spent the weekend going to two football games. One of them I liked the result.
Yesterday Stanford embarassed U of Washington 🙂 I don’t think there’s anything in football more satisfying than seeing your halfback run straight over the linebackers and safeties, again and again, even when they KNOW that’s what’s coming. We’re in first place in the pac-10.
then today I went to the raiders game, and the less said the better.
And the Seahawks lost to the Bears. Oy.
Suck it, Boo…My team was on the short end of that 24-0 score that you mentioned! Rebuilding year, indeed!
Hey. The Hawks went into Happy Valley and beat Penn State again! On national television.
It was awesome.
