Hello again painting fans.

This week I’ll be continuing with the Cape May, New Jersey painting.  The photo that I will be using is seen directly below.

I’ll be using my usual acrylics on an unusual 6 by 6 inch canvas.

When last seen, the painting appeared as it does in the photo directly below.

Since that time, I’ve continued to work on the painting.

I’ve applied an additional layer of paint over the body of the house. A thin layer of brown has been applied over the prior reddish color. This color is pretty close to what I envisioned for the final shade. I’ll add highlights to the left side as needed but things will not change too much.

I’ve also gone over the white once again. It’s been covered with brown in places so it will need a further refresh. I’ll have that for next week. Finally, I’ve begun the grass beneath the house. The shade is wrong but you get the idea.
