it’s a swing. But the buttons are on top on the other side. Those things on the side are clasps for a tray that snaps in.
Cute as a button! He must get all his looks from his mother. 😉

I`ll make sure that my grandson knows he has a namesake to watch over.
He was here today, when I took a few shots.
Here`s the new boy in our family, named Finn.
He was born in Scotland this summer, but is now close by.

I really hope that 2010 will mark the beginning of prosperity, peace, and joy for the rest of the world. The last decade has been such a horror for so much of humankind, this new decade has to be better.

He looks so cozy, all wrapped up in luxury.
One of his older brothers was insistent that he have that swing. So far, I think it was a good choice. 🙂
His brother is a smart kid. I predict you’ll get hours and hours of use out of it.
The one I had with my oldest was a glorified plastic tarp, stretched over a wire frame in an upright seating position. You’d have to surround the baby with blankets to approximate a seating position and to make sure he didn’t slide out through the leg opening. Then you had to wind it up and it made this godawful metal grinding noise just as the cranky babe was drifting off to sleep. The swinging action would last about 3.5 minutes. It must be in the Dangerous Antique Baby Products Hall of Fame by now. And this was the 1980s?
Baby technology has advanced since then!
We had one in 1970. A wind up with a little canvas seat. Saved us. I don’t think swings were available when our first one was born in the 60’s.
Children are so precious. They make all the struggles worthwhile.
We’ve been ODing on Fringe for the past week. Think X Files meets CSI. We started watching near the end of the first season and got hooked, so for Christmas the Momcat got us the first season on DVD and we’ve been catching up.
I love Fringe. I watched the first season and then kept forgetting when it was on. :/

We are totally spoiled by TiVo. It records automatically and we watch it when we choose.

Nothing cuter than a sleeping baby. What I love is when they smile when they’re asleep. My grandma always said they were talking to the angels when they did that.
Bonus points for the paw prints on the sleeper feet. Adorable!
